Kate Middleton's Perfect Nose Inspires Women to Have Plastic Surgery

The dresses she wears fly off the shelves. Her hair is the envy of women around the world. And she's even helped boost sales of hosiery in the U.K.

So is it any wonder that women also want Kate's nose?

British plastic surgeons say requests for the Duchess of Cambridge's "near perfect" and petite nose have tripled since 2011, according to the Daily Mail, which has interviewed several women who said having a similar eye-catching royal profile was exactly the look they sought as they underwent rhinoplasty.

"Her nose is straight with a cute, rounded tip and is perfectly in proportion to her face," plastic surgeon Maurizio Persico said. "This gives Kate an attractive and striking profile."

"Plus, she always looks happy and confident in photos, which is especially appealing to women whose own appearance makes them unhappy – those who feel self-conscious about larger or crooked noses, which they believe dominate their faces," Persico added.

According to psychologist Carmen Lefevre, who studies facial attributes and behavior at the University of St. Andrews, it's not just because Kate's a princess that her nose inspires envy.

"The symmetry of Kate's nose, the angle between her lip and the tip of her nose and the minimal amount of nostril on show, are all near-perfect," Lefevre told the paper.

I've already had blepharoplasty (double eyelid surgery), so I guess I'm ~plastic already. I'd get lipo on my stomach if I could (though my arms and legs could use it too, it's mostly my stomach, ick)... maybe my chin-area too, though I HATE pain and recovery and the thought of surgery grosses me out (don't ask how I survived the first one either).

Oh and probably a Brazilian butt-lift too. Not insanely huge or unnatural-looking, but someone more fuller than what I have lawl. :(

What are procedures that can be done to the butt? Lol my ass is fine but I want a nicer one tbh. :c

Do they do injections, implants? Lol. Seriously looking into it

I'm not an expert (and don't take my word for it), but I do think there are implants you can place. I know that fat injections can be used too with your own fat from other areas of your body.

btw is that Sunny in your userpic? lol

Ohhhh! I see. Thanks bb.

And yes! It is Sunny. :3

i just read the other day that fat injections are much better than implants bc there is no real cavity to insert the implants into and the weight that is put on them all the time is bad for implants so the re-operation rate with implants is considerably higher than with other surgeries

ahhhh i see. getting than done in the future for sure~

Would you mind describing the recovery for your blepharoplasty? Length of time, pain, etc? No shade, I'd get a nose job in a heartbeat, but the thought of eye-area surgery is terrifying o_o

I had this done about 4 years ago, haha. But since it was a minor surgery, I didn't have to recover or anything. I just had to wear sunglasses on my way out to shield my eyes since they were sensitive. My eyes were pretty swollen for about a week. I couldn't rinse the area with water while it was healing, had to take antibiotics and rub ointment on the area and got my stitches out in about a week to a week and a half. My eyes on the first few days were so incredibly swollen and purple it looked like someone punched me. D: I don't remember it hurting horribly as it did during operation (I used local anesthetic since it wasn't a huge operation; the injection to numb the eyelids hurted like a bitch lol), just really uncomfortable. They don't cut deep enough to affect your eyes, just to remove the fat and stitch the muscle together to create that "fold" for the double eyelids. It's incredibly common in East Asia and people there are so desensitized to it lmao.

I don't have a huge tolerance on pain, so that's probably the maximum level of pain I'd be willing to bear and I probably would opt for general anesthesia next time should I ever have to get anything done again, no matter how minor it is LOL. That and loads of vicodin/Tylenol 3, etc. etc. =p

Is that surgery painful? I've been looking into as a possibility... maybe a brow lift too.
