Last summer's The Amazing Spider-Man was commercially successful, but met with a mixed response from critics and, to some degree, fans, many of whom couldn't get past the fact that the reboot retread so much territory covered by Sam Raimi's earlier trilogy.
Well, one of the stars of those previous Spidey films, James Franco, shares those less than enthusiastic feelings. When asked by MTV about his thoughts on the reboot, Franco didn't pull any punches, saying "I mean, they could have strayed a little bit more from the original. Someone sounds mad.
Also, it had Gwen while Spider-Man didn't use Gwen until the third film.
Uuuhhhhh
Like yeah, Sam moved on, but he didn't want to do with James. I can't.
I wish we had started with this version and Tobey's series never existed tbh
He is just so damn insufferable.
And Oz looks like shit.
Peter's portrayal in "The Amazing Spider-Man" was more true to character than the Raimi series
