Lindsay's day in court



Lindsay Lohan is making a mad dash to appear in court this morning ... hoping to dodge an arrest warrant.

TMZ broke the story ... Lindsay planned on being a no-show today when her case is called at 8:30 AM, claiming she had an upper respiratory infection.

But her excuse didn't fly because ... Lindsay was shopping up a storm and smoking the day she got the doctor's note ... and TMZ got the pics of LiLo in action.

So Lindsay is racing to court with her layer Mark Heller, who may have his own problems getting permission to represent Lindsay in Lohan's "lying to cops" case.

Judge Stephanie Sautner may kick some serious butt ... and we'll be there Livestreaming when court begins.

8:39 AM PT -- Lindsay just arrived to court with her mother Dina and her new lawyer Mark Heller. We're hearing that court will begin at 9:00 AM sharp.

9:27 AM PT -- Heller is currently inside the courthouse and is exected to come out to address the media ... because he can't help himself.

The judge also laid down the ominous fact -- that Lindsay could be found not guilty in the lying case, and her probation in the jewelry case could still be violated since the standard of proof is lower.

The Judge set March 1 as the next hearing.

FYI -- for whoever cares, Lindsay wore Chanel to court today with Celine shades ... and Louboutins on her feet, obviously.

Even though she made it to LA, won't the fact that she lied to the court still reflect on her? Like, great, you caught a flight because that rich, gross dude you were shopping with probably lent you the money...doesn't mean you get away with trying to lie to the court, right?

what ever happened to the community service she was supposed to do, anyway?? when she was serving at that women's shelter and got there late/didn't show up at all/etc. I feel like nothing really came out of that... lol

either that or like two weeks of jail time, with her let out after half of one for good behavior. or probation that still allows her to travel wherever so she can "work".

prayer circle that today there will be a smack down and throw down (or at least some kind of punishment.) then today will be known as the day the tides changed and we can say, "remember when..." with a smile of satisfaction. :')

lawd she reminds of me of a student who let's the teacher know that they won't be able to go in to class because of a ~family emergency, only to have the teacher be all "okay, but you're going to lose major points", cut to the kid sprinting into class.
