Ben Affleck, Emma Stone, and Bradley Cooper on Vanity Fair’s Hollywood Cover

It’s one for the history books—more than 75 different stars were photographed for Vanity Fair’s 19th Hollywood Portfolio, shot by Bruce Weber as the famed photographer’s definitive tribute to the town. Enfolding Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, Amy Adams and Jonah Hill, Selena Gomez and Alan Arkin, Weber’s vision called for a variety of talent—of both the two- and four-legged variety. The cover: Ben Affleck and Bradley Cooper (impishly smiling in a bear suit and a gorilla costume, respectively) flank America’s sweetheart Emma Stone. Oscar winner Affleck cemented his status as Hollywood’s in-demand director with Argo, which received seven Academy Award nominations, including best picture, while Cooper’s Silver Linings Playbook received eight nominations, including Cooper’s first for best actor. Youngest-ever best-actress nominee Quvenzhané Wallis also appears on the cover gatefold along with Olivia Wilde, Kerry Washington, and Eddie Redmayne.

Maybe it's just me but I had a thing for B Coop in Silver Linings Playbook, probably because of his short haircut. I really don't like his hairstyle now, but he looks cute with my queen in this WHAS ~reunion photo

Very true. I'm sure personal preferences differ but to me Dita Von Teese and Fan Bing Bing are truly glamorous in terms of their red carpet/event appearances, and Cate Blanchett and Marion Cotillard can really bring in the old school glamor when it suits them.

I think they like to appear 'relatable' so there's v. little glamour as a result.

People like Dita, Cate, Marion, Angelina Jolie etc can bring the glamour bc they're not afraid to try, but your average celeb these days want to look like they're not making an effort.

This is all so bad. :/ Eddie Redmayne looks deeply uncomfortable in his shot, Emma Stone looks awful on the cover, and the whole idea just doesn't look to have come together all that well.

And yeah, whoever pointed out that it should be JLaw on the cover (or Jessica Chastain if they were going for Oscar nominees from different projects) in stead of Emma Stone, I agree. She just seems like such a random choice considering that both Bradley and Ben are nominated/in nominated films.

I saw the vid, it's cute tbh. I LOVE Eddie tho, so I'm pretty sure I would find anything he does adorble. I just feel like they could have chosen a better shot for the mag.

jennifer has been on the past 2 hollywood covers and she also had the january cover of vanity fair. jessica was on the hollywood cover last year. they have to change it up a little bit.
