Josh Hutcherson, Jennifer Lawrence Look Out at 'Catching Fire' Shots Final Scenes

No doubt there's been a Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence look out this week. Catching Fire has made an emergency decision to shoot some finals scenes at Ringwood State Park in northern New Jersey.

Loyal fans of the Hunger Games series had thought all scenes for its sequel had been shot but they were wrong. A permit was filed "for a commercial film shoot at Ringwood State Park and Ramapo Mountain State Forest for GGX Productions under the film name, The Idiom."

There was widespread belief this was a fake title also used for casting calls for Catching Fire.

"The permit called for scouting of the locations on Tuesday and Wednesday with filming Thursday and Friday with any extra days to be determined. State Parks Police at the entrance to Ringwood State Park said the entire park was closed Friday and would re-open Saturday."

There have been previous times when scene locations were leaked and security had to be on hand to deal with onlookers and fans. Chances are the same thing happened this time because "park security would not allow a Record photographer to get close to the set."

Catching Fire has become one of the most anticipated movies and fans love getting behind the scenes or into the scenes when they can. If there's a chance Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence were filming, their following would have on the stake out. They have a chemistry that many wish would grow into a solid friendship that many admire.

Which celebrity would you camp out all night to catch a glimpse of? Would it be Joshifer?

It still makes me rage that she blamed Gale for Prim's death. UGH.

gurl me too. it was obviously just a device to make Katniss "choose" between Peeta and Gale. She could've stayed friends with Gale – even if she married Peeta – since they meant so much to each other all those years.

Yeah I mean how fucking depressing that her connection with Peeta was based on the trauma they went through.

ikr. they are seriously one of the most depressing, most boring fictional couples ever. i can't with people who say it was ~sew romantic. they have nothing in common and she basically settled for Peeta because there was no one left she cared about, and then he talked her into having babies she didn't initially want. smh.

Such bullshit. She went from a strong, independent woman to a shell of a woman who just settled.

This is such a fucking joke. A female character isn't any less strong or independent because she falls in love and gets married. I fucking hate this mentality.

Woah there doggie. I never said strong women don't fall in love and get married WTF. From the beginning she said she didn't want to get married and have kids (and I think the fact that it took Peeta 15 goddamn years to convince her shows she still didn't really want them). She ended up depressed in her abandoned hometown and in my reading of the book just settled into that life because she had lost everything else.

Think what you want about the books, I honestly don't care, but don't fucking tell me I'm putting down women who fall in love and want to get married/have kids.

Ah, but she said she didn't want children because she didn't want them to grow up in the world she did. 15 years later, the world is not the same world.

Just wanna say ia with this whoooole thread. I hate that Collins was forced to play up that love triangle by her editors, and I hate even more that Katniss had kids in the end. She doesn't even sounds happy about it in the epilogue when she says it took Peeta 15 years to convince her to have kids.
theactualworst 28th-Jan-2013 09:22 pm (UTC)
I forgot about the whole 15 years bit on top of everything else. UGH.
chilli_cheese 28th-Jan-2013 09:42 pm (UTC)
oh man, I'm glad I never finished the 3rd book. Just hearing about how it ended makes me mad because it started out so great.

SC's way of writing off Gale was so fucking stupid. Katniss made some stupid fucking decisions in that last book but blaming Gale for the death of her sister made me roll my eyes so damn hard. It was so forced. I loved their friendship and she threw it all away just so she could make that flop relationship ~work~. ugh
