Kristen was 22 when it happened, she'll be 23 in a couple of months. I think the fact people can't see her as anything but a teenager says a lot about why the acting roles seem to be drying up for her.

You're underestimating how much being "new"/different makes a woman attractive, not to mention how big a role youth plays in determining a woman's attractiveness to men - plenty of studies have demonstrated that being in one's late teens/early 20's is, in itself, enough to make a woman more desirable to men than an older woman with more conventionally beautiful features.

And as his ex-wife demonstrates, Rupert clearly prefers younger women - he didn't marry someone his own age.
