tbh people think that because they have some bizarre notion that we all must eat like our entire body weight in protein every single day. There's a "nobody cares about your protein intake unless you're vegetarian" comic floating on the interwebs somewhere. Plus the people who "go veg" by just replacing all meat with a pound of cheese and then get all shitty and unhealthy don't really help the image, either. A shitty diet is going to be shitty with or without ham.
