It's unfortunate how much male athletes in professional sports, especially "uber masculine" ones like football, feel so much pressure to deny their sexuality. I mean, I understand that this pressure happens everywhere, but athletics seem to be an environment where it's still very much frowned upon to be gay. Not to mention, he's devoted to his church and doesn't want to be excommunicated.
