i'm more or less married to microsoft, but tbh at this point i'd consider switching to sony just to get my hands on a next-gen console. what i mean is, just give me something. anything.

Years ago, my boyfriend asked me whether he should get a PS3 or Xbox Live. I told him to go with Xbox, so he bought a PS3 instead. Shortly after that, he regretted the decision and just hadddddddddd to have an Xbox, so I bought him one. SHORTLY AFTER THAT, he went back to PS3 and mostly plays on that now. But he keeps buying an extra copy of Call of Duty for Xbox. Ugh. I imagine he'll want a PS4 now even though we're trying to cut out unnecessary purchases since we're saving to buy a house.

i have the wii and i kinda regret it but they added in the store the old super mario games, i want to buy them!

I will be waiting and seeing if anything comes of that patent they filed to lock games to a console to prevent preowned. That shit needs to come to an end, it already takes me ages to start up a game of ACIII multiplayer because it spends so much time checking and rechecking that I entered the little fucking code that comes with a new copy, even though Ubisoft ain't hosting shit involved with it.

The console that implements it loses next generation, simple as. They have no right to do that shit, it's like a TV stopping me playing a DVD because I bought it used. And that's on top of the DLC and Microtransaction bullshit they're pulling now.

Oh and everyone needs to play Sleeping Dogs if you haven't because that game is the best sandbox game since like....San Andreas.

...so how vastly different is this PS4?

I'm just curious to see if Watch_Dogs will be one of the last games released for the current gen or if it'll be one the first games released for the PS4+ the next Xbox console.

Didn't they say this when they released the PS3 after the 360?

just got a ps3 so nope dnw a ps4 anytime soon...plus why buy a new gen console when its first released when you know a cooler version of it will be released later?

i love my first gen ps3, but i wish it wasn't so massive. i have never had a single issue with it though so i'm probably not going to abandon it for ps4.

...what am I supposed to do with a PS4? I say this as a PS fangirl straight up. My PS3 is going fine. Unless the PS4 is going to play PS3 games and come out with some super exclusives right away, I'm not rushing out to buy it.

Also, doesn't matter to me whether it comes out first or second because I don't really have an interest in the Xbox or Xbox culture/ecosytem (ESPECIALLY having to pay $60 a year to watch Netflix on the console), but I think it makes more sense to come out first. Unless Sony is really considering sticking in that stupid pre-owned chip, it rightly faces a backlash and Microsoft wises up. If they are considering that, then let Microsoft fuck up first.

Blu ray players themselves are pretty reasonably priced, though. I just got a new one with wireless internet, etc. for $80 at Best Buy. Saw some other ones for about $50/60 too.

All I know is, fighting game wise I wish they'd help the devs with the netcode.
