Not hobbit but LOTR related - My girlfriends and I did an LOTR marathon this weekend. Blue-ray extended edition. 13ish hours straight. Here's some of our genius.

REASONS WHY ARAGORN IS THE PERFECT MAN:

1.) He can throw a dwarf
2.) He can speak horse, Elf, and straight to your heart
3.) He needs 2 doors to make a proper entrance
4.) He can turn down beautiful blondes who can't sing
5.) He can ride a horse while half passed out
6.) He can fight with a sword, bow and arrow, and with his bare hands
7.) He commands a ghost army
8.) He can make wearing a silver angel not look girly
9.) He is BFF with a dwarf, elf, wizard, AND Hobbit
10.) He can sing in many different languages
11.) He kisses Elven princesses in public and eventually makes pretty babies
12.) He speaks HORSE!! Does anything else really matter???

Completely agreed. I went to the LotR extended marathon in theaters in December and Aragorn is just amazing. Numbers 3 and 4 are particularly awesome, imo.

Though Sam's amazingness was impressed on me as well, viewing it all at once.

lol reminds me of that list i did with my friend when we were 12 about what happened in Middle Earth after the war of the ring, stuff like Balgrog became a heavy metal singer and Bilbo is nowadays known as Leonardo DiCaprio. Good times.

I know, it's weird, they don't look anything alike, and yet they can resemble each other somehow, so I guess it's no wonder they had a bit of a hard time making sure Aidan and Richard were differentiated enough as dwarves.

Just got back from seeing it for a third time.

Still get teary eyed when Frodo shows up ;~;

All this time I thought Thorin had a BIG BUSHY BEARD but when they look at the Lonely Mountain with hearts in their eyes I was all, the fuck? Did it get burned off or something?

Clearly I need to pay better attention.
