Went to a Gin Blossoms concert last night. They had two opening acts and then Patent Pending was billed as a 'special guest'. I had heard of them before, they were big on Long Island for a while, but I'd never heard their music.
It was such a weird mixture of those two bands. Patent had high energy, which was entertaining and the lead singer crowdsurfed and there were other people that did as well. Then people crowdsurfed during Gin Blossoms, which I found really strange.
Also, anyone know where I can get Dreamweaver? I found out you can download an older version of the Adobe Creative Suite on adobe's site, but it doesn't include Dreamweaver.
Are you sure they don't have dreamweaver? I always downloaded CS straight off Adobe's site, then got a key crack off a torrent to have it all for free :)
Teen Wolf introduced me to a new sport. It's called "lacrosse" and it consists of a bunch of hot ass mother fuckers running around with sticks and being shirtless a lot. Oh and there's a deranged coach.
I'm having sort of a bad time right now. Last night I was at a party and the guy I've been sleeping with was there and it seemed like he talked to everyone in the room except me. And now none of my friends are free to hang out with me. Which is why I still deal with that guy at all - my friends are all in relationships and sometimes this guy is the only conversation I get to have all week. If I get rid of him, I have absolutely no one who's there for me on a consistent basis. This is why girls get shitty boyfriends. I'm realizing that I've never been to a nice restaurant and I almost never go to movies. There are so many things that you feel like you can't do by yourself. I really don't want to stay home and have this be the feeling I'm left with until next weekend. But I've learned that it's not fun to go out alone anymore. I never meet anyone worthwhile.
I enjoy hanging out alone but I hate going out alone because I feel like people are judging me or feeling sorry for me.
wrt this guy you've been seeing, he sounds like a jerk. I absolutely hate when people that you obviously know can't be bothered to say hi to you in social situations. I enjoy calling them out on it.
idk, I just never have fun when I go out by myself. I always think that maybe I'll meet some fun new people, but it never works out that way. The situation with the guy has been a mess for a long time. Every time I try to get away from him, really bad things happen to me. The people my age who are in long-term relationships don't understand what I'm going through. If you met your boyfriend at 22 and you're still dating him at 27, you really have no idea what it's like to be almost 28 and just hoping that the next time you meet a guy that he's single.
girl go to the movies by yourself! i always felt weird about doing it, but when i was living overseas i just thought 'fuck it, if i want to go to a movie i'm going' and now going by myself is one of my fave things to do when i have the time and money.
I used to be totally anxious about going to movies alone, but you know, it's no big deal. It's not like you can talk about the movie as you're watching it, and there's usually a few other solo movie goers there too.
As dorky as it is maybe you could try to join some classes or something so you can meet some new people? I've met people through conversation clubs, writing groups, photography courses, art classes etc. If you live in a decent size city there should be cinema clubs that you could join, where people in the group see movies together and then talk about them. Volunteering is also another good way to meet people.
The guy sounds like a total dick, you deserve better.
my parents want to get me a kindle so I can save money on books and they wanted to get me a kindle fire because it has a back light, but I think the paperwhite has one and I don't need the kindle fire with all the other functions.
Paperwhite is fantastic. The Kindle Fire IS NOT an eye friendly ereader. It's Amazon's competition for the iPad. The paperwhite is what you want so it still feels like you're looking at a book. You might as well just use your computer instead of the Kindle Fire.
I have the Kobo glo, which is essentially the same thing, and I fucking love it. tbh I'd get a regular tablet before I got a fire bc they have more apps and stuff, but I got the glo because I didn't care for that stuff. I knew I'd be using it exclusively for reading, so that other stuff wasn't worth it. The backlight feature rocks, so I'd highly recommend the paperwhite.
I have like 4 books I stopped in the middle of, haha. I've read this one so that helps and it was a romance novel so it was an easy, light and fun read.
Last night I went to Karaoke with my mom, who needed a fun night out. Sang Blind Melon - No Rain. Lady Gaga - Poker Face. And Blondie- Heart of Glass. People told me I was awesome. It was a lot of fun.

Right now, I'm applying for a job.
and they're one of the few stores that carries my fave wine (new age).
The ending freaked me the fuck out.
