there are a few jump scares but its not scary at all. It's really a good film as a whole, its just being marketed wrong.

I like it but that's because i don't like horror, it is really more of a drama, so people might have been let down if they went in with the expectation to be scared.

And if you like del Toro's other stuff, you will like it.

the marketing for this film is horrible lol..it's not a horror movie at all, it's a supernatural fantasy children story if anything.

the scariest parts where the fucking kids tbh.

Very, very beautiful. I'm a huge theatre junky and I think Joe Wright managed to capture that theatricality in a way that was very energetic and alive.

The chemistry between Keira Knightley and Sam Taylor-Wood's husband was unfortunately not very good and the script and direction became a little frayed towards the end, but overall I loved it. I'm probably going to buy it on DVD when it comes out because the visuals are pure candy.
