First look at Ashley Benson on 'How I Met Your Mother'!

Ashley Benson cozies up to Josh Radnor in this first look pic from How I Met Your Mother.

In the episode “Ring Up!”, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) begs Ted (Radnor) to continue seeing his much younger, much wilder girlfriend (Benson), even though Ted has nothing in common with her.

Meanwhile, Robin (Cobie Smulders) must adjust to the power of the bling.

“Ring Up!” airs Monday, January 21st @ 8PM ET/PT on CBS.

Barney and Robin are so cute in the second sneak peek! So happy they're finally together.

Will forever see her as Abigail Devereaux from DOOL.

this show isn't bad for a late night watch (comes on at 1:30 am here) but I can't care. hurry up and meet the damn woman Ted.

I did like Victoria for a bit.
ellenpage 19th-Jan-2013 08:30 pm (UTC)
I know, I'm getting impatient. I liked Victoria the first time around, but the second time the only thing they let her do was nag, so that just made me more impatient for the real mother.
silentsymphonie 19th-Jan-2013 08:33 pm (UTC)
yeah her insecurities about robin were, i guess justified (esp. bc it turns out he was still in love with her or whatever), but we've already had so many plot points where ted has proven his loyalty to robin and it just felt played out.
malocudoviste 19th-Jan-2013 08:25 pm (UTC)
I stopped watching this a loooooong time ago,but barney and robin are so cute together

It's getting painful to watch HIMYM. Minus the scene where Lily admits she doesn't want to be a mom sometimes, this show has strayed so fucking far I can't stand it. Now it's essentially Two and a Half Men for the first half of Gen Y.

The worst is that I'll watch it until the bitter, bloody end. Did that for Scrubs, will do that for HIMYM.
coulson 19th-Jan-2013 08:38 pm (UTC)
i'll be there with you at the end, holding your hand.
silentsymphonie 19th-Jan-2013 08:48 pm (UTC)
That part with Lily was really heartbreaking. I love those plot points where she re-evaluates her life because it's so nice to have a couple on tv who's "perfect" relationship is realistically imperfect. Like when she went to California to be an artist just for the summer and gave Marshall her ring back. She didn't cheat on him or have some crazy double life like in a lot of dramas, she just wasn't sure if marrying the guy she'd been with since college was the right path to take.
forgethissmile 19th-Jan-2013 09:02 pm (UTC)
Seriously. I loved that part of HIMYM. Just the gritty reality -- that we DO question our paths in life and we DO end up in situations that are disappointing (like Marshal working for a corporation instead of environmental law like he wanted, or Ted losing his job). That we get into relationships that sound GREAT on paper, but end up not working because the chemistry is just off, making you miserable (like Barney and Robin -- which is why I don't care for their marriage at ALL. Just placating the fangirls instead of making it more realistic).
stellarlyssa 19th-Jan-2013 09:09 pm (UTC)
That scene with Lily last week was so incredible. Alyson Hannigan really knocked it out of the park.
benicebitch 19th-Jan-2013 10:51 pm (UTC)
This show hasn't made me cry since Marshal's dad died but I was ugly crying for like 10 minutes after that scene.

IA with this whole comment.

At least the Scrubs series finale was good (not counting s9) so here's hoping that HIMYM's finale will be too.
mikochin 19th-Jan-2013 08:49 pm (UTC)
This show has overstayed its welcome imo... It was fun for like the first two seasons. Let's just put an end to it now please.
prophecypro 19th-Jan-2013 08:54 pm (UTC)
They just pushing for every guest would be mom before the show is up
vicvinegar 19th-Jan-2013 09:01 pm (UTC)
why are ppl still trying to make her happen
tigermilk 19th-Jan-2013 09:02 pm (UTC)
I hope they tell me who the Mother is while I still care.

I love Cobie though.
silentsymphonie 19th-Jan-2013 09:08 pm (UTC)
Cobie is a goddess and I hope she still gets work after this show is over because she's a good actress.
bellwetherr 20th-Jan-2013 12:38 am (UTC)
She's got at least two more movies in the line-up with the Avengers.
deltabean 19th-Jan-2013 09:22 pm (UTC)
Cobie is the reason I watch this show, tbh
merenwen17 19th-Jan-2013 09:45 pm (UTC)
GET IT TOGETHER TED.

although I really thought the mother was going to be Barney's sister that he has never really met/talked about... >:(
xcollsangelx 19th-Jan-2013 10:14 pm (UTC)
I miss this show being awesome

Ted is such a shitty character
quiet_storm 19th-Jan-2013 11:45 pm (UTC)
The guy who plays him essentially is Ted. I don't think he could ever believably play another character.
quiet_storm 19th-Jan-2013 11:45 pm (UTC)
Amuurican promo's are really cheesy...dat bit at the end. Nagl.
