Justin Bieber's Mother Produces Anti-Abortion Film

Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, is an executive producer on an upcoming anti-abortion short film.

The makers of "Crescendo" hope to raise $10 million for pregnancy centers at screenings worldwide starting Feb. 28. Mallette herself will appear at some of these, said production company Movie to Movement on Friday.

The pop star's mother has written and spoken extensively about the addiction and abuse that led to her teenage pregnancy.

Mallette said in a statement she hopes her involvement with "Crescendo" will "encourage young women all over the world, just like me, to let them know that there is a place to go, people who will take care of you and a safe home to live in if you are pregnant and think you have nowhere else to turn."

Also here is some information about the centers that this film (and no doubt the allowance money of some Beliebers) will be making money for.

These centers

-- may not give you complete and correct information about all your options — abortion, adoption, and parenting

-- may try to frighten you with misleading films and pictures to keep you from choosing abortion

-- may lie to you about the medical and emotional effects of abortion

-- may tell you that you are not pregnant even if you are. This may fool you into continuing your pregnancy without knowing it. If your decision is delayed, it could make abortion more risky. It could also keep you from getting early prenatal care.

-- may discourage you from using certain methods of birth control that are very safe and effective

I'm guessing because they're not actually any kind of medical facility. They're just ~people who care~

Maybe I'm a dumbass, but I've never heard of any of these places in the US

They definitely exist. I want to say they're primarily in southern states but I could be wrong.

I see all sorts of billboards around western PA. They're usually pretty vague, with an attractive young woman looking thoughtful on them.

like this one.

Exactly. Also, at least around here, these clinics are church-affiliated and hide this BS behind that.

I think because they're more like help centers and not like medical institutions that have any sort of standards or anything to follow. So you can't like, sue them because a lot of them are just church-based organizations.

12th & Delaware is an AMAZING documentary that focuses on the topic. Really eye-opening.
