Yeah really how would you tell someone you love they reek like B.o?

'Kourtney stinks of B.O.!': Scott Disick laments his earth mother girlfriend's decision to give up deodorant while breastfeeding
By IONA KIRBY

kourtk

Kourtney Kardashian has turned earth mother and only uses natural products and remedies.
But one thing her nearest and dearest aren’t too happy about is her decision to ditch the deodorant.
Khloe confronts Kourtney’s partner Scott Disick about the way her sister smells during a preview clip from the new season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.

‘Do you notice that there’s a little something with Kourt?’ Khloe asks as they enjoy a peaceful spot of repose on the balcony. ‘Like, the BO?’
Scott immediately agrees: ‘Yeah, she reeks.’
He explains the smell is just a result of Kourtney’s bid to stay all natural.
‘Only because she doesn’t believe in wearing deodorant because she thinks it’s bad for her breastfeeding or something,’ Scott says, which is met by a scream from Khloe.

Blunt as always: Kourtney's sister Khloe broached the subject and asked Scott if he has noticed 'the BO'
‘It’s uncomfortable,’ Scott admits. ‘You don’t want to tell somebody you love that they stink.’
But Khloe takes a typically blunt approach to the matter and says: ‘I just think, a little dab will do ya.’
Khloe tells the cameras: ‘I’m not surprised that Scott knows. I got a whiff of her, and everyone should know. Typically I would tell Kourtney that she stinks, but Kourtney has a lot going on.

I've been using that Toms natural deodorant for a while but TBH it doesn't work well if I sweat a lot. The other day my bf informed me I smelled a little after coming home from work. I was totally mortified yall :'( and I had really bad sinus allergies so I couldn't even tell lol :(
leviicorpus Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:23 pm (UTC)
And this is why I don't leave the house without Certain Dri at night and clinical strength deodorant in the morning.
treradical Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:32 pm (UTC)
certain dri changed my life omg
i just wear some degree in the morning bc it smells good and then i'm fine for the rest of the day
angelmonster Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:24 pm (UTC)
I tried organic, non aluminum and it doesn't work. I figure I do we'll with eating, filtering my water, etc that a little aluminum will be fine,. I can't stand my own Bo so I know no one else is here for that.
snowweisz Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:27 pm (UTC)
I have allergies too and it's one of the reasons I wear deodorant compulsively, tbh. Because I'm terrified I'd start smelling and not notice it.
mindchill Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:38 pm (UTC)
I just use a normal deodorant with alcohol and no aluminium from Nivea. I sweat exacly as much with an anti-perspirant as with this simple alcohol one, and I don´t smell. On a hot/sporty day I may have to touch up, but I would´ve with the anti-perspirant too.
nicholasdee Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:41 pm (UTC)
toms didn't work and made my skin peel off. fuck that shit
perfecthorror Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?18th-Jan-2013 11:43 pm (UTC)
I used Tom's last summer and not only did it not work sweat-wise but I would still smell terrible. Not only that, but it made my armpits burn and turn red, and they began to peel.
Now I use The Greench from Lush and I love it. I occasionally use Old Spice too. Deodorant, not antiperspirant.
lovetake_over Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?19th-Jan-2013 12:13 am (UTC)
i'm currently using toms and it's fucking awful. the week i started using it my underarms got super itchy. the itching stopped, but it doesn't do anything for me. i still sweat and it doesn't help with odor either.
sevenbeat Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?19th-Jan-2013 01:02 am (UTC)
this is why I can't get down with natural deodorants.

I exercise way too much and I still stank after putting on regular deodorant.
oceanhue Re: Can we turn this into a hygeine/TMI post?19th-Jan-2013 01:35 am (UTC)
Natural Deodorants suck. Just buy some Dove
angelmonster 18th-Jan-2013 11:23 pm (UTC)
Friends tell friends.

That. Being said my boss, not my friend, has the worst Bo. When we go in her office and she shuts the door I feel like gagging. I don't get dhow she cannot smell it in her office it is the worst. The problem is she is so mean to EVERYONE that no one will help her out.
jmfunnyface 18th-Jan-2013 11:55 pm (UTC)
I have a colleague that stinks. There are some days that if I'm sitting near her my eyes water, but we're not friends so I don't know if it's my place to tell her that she smells.
editnoir 19th-Jan-2013 12:16 am (UTC)
I'd like to think if its that bad someone in her personal life tells her!

I have a friend - would be a close friend but I don't care to be close to them - that is so sweet and funny... but he stinks, like crazy. My stomach does somersaults as he approaches me and I generally gag. He's been told. On multiple occasions. By a variety of us (his friends) that he smells. He "showers" but he smells fresh out of the shower, too.

We've decided to drop it because whatever, he's French, that's how they do.
angelmonster 19th-Jan-2013 12:26 am (UTC)
I hope someone in her personal life tells her too but she is nasty and vindictive so I will never.

Sorry about your friend, I would spray febreeze on him tbh lol.
mari_lyn00 20th-Jan-2013 11:31 am (UTC)
I have a friend who smells. She's been told, but it's been years and she still smells, it's not always, but it's often.
hippie_chick 18th-Jan-2013 11:23 pm (UTC)
There is natural crystal deodorant, but I've never used it so I don't know how good it works. I can't stand smelling or feeling grungy. I don't think deodorant has an averse affect on the baby when breast feeding, but I guess she's just a careful mom. Still though...
luckyluxk 18th-Jan-2013 11:24 pm (UTC)
A gurl friend has a very powerful ~natural scent~. It's disgusting. Some of us think she never wears deodorant, but either way. Ugh. You can't be anywhere near of her cause you can smell her! The worst part of it is that she is always like "I forgot my jacket, can I borrow yours". Ewwwwwwww.
mari_lyn00 20th-Jan-2013 11:34 am (UTC)
Yep, same with my friend. It's just her natural smell, it's stronggg. Sometimes when I'm out with her and she smells, I get so embarrassed when she goes and gets close to other people to have conversation, cause I know they can smell her! Same with sweaters/jackets, I know if she puts it on, it cannot be worn again until washed.
snowweisz 18th-Jan-2013 11:25 pm (UTC)
Idk how someone can go without deodorant.

If I forget it one day, I spend the whole time super mortified, and this only happens like twice a year cause I always carry one on my bag just in case
amsterdam__ 22nd-Jan-2013 09:25 pm (UTC)
This, I carry one in my bag, I have one in my car and one in my desk just in case i ever forget to put it on in the morning.
girlwonderrobin 18th-Jan-2013 11:26 pm (UTC)
It's easy. You look at them and say bluntly "you fucking reek, get in the damn shower or I will drag you in there and hold the door shut until I smell soap instead of the funyons you ate two days ago."

Then again I'm a huge bitch, so...
chuk_is_dazzled 18th-Jan-2013 11:29 pm (UTC)
lolol, funyons
girlwonderrobin 18th-Jan-2013 11:35 pm (UTC)
If it's garlic, I don't bother telling him, he just gets thrown into the bathroom, and I lean against the door, screaming "SHOWER, GODDAMN IT!"
hippie_chick 18th-Jan-2013 11:30 pm (UTC)
ROFLOL!
phreshprince 18th-Jan-2013 11:31 pm (UTC)
One of my friends is SUPER sensitive and he smells like crap so I wouldn't know what to do tbh.
I was just discussing this with another friend.
Like he got super upset when I told him that I can't watch My Little Pony (it's a new college thing that guys watch the show lol) because I felt like I lost IQ points.
phreshprince 18th-Jan-2013 11:28 pm (UTC)
did she wear deodorant when she breast fed mason? (if she did at all)

Edited at 2013-01-18 11:31 pm (UTC)
snowweisz 18th-Jan-2013 11:33 pm (UTC)
She breast fed Mason, ik this because on the only time I ever ever watched a Kardashian something episode, she and Khloe got drunk and then she had these things to test her breast milk for alcohol and I didn't even know such a thing existed.

She also gave Khloe a bikini wax on that episode and burnt her all over and she and her husband couldn't have sex

/csb i was clearly slightly traumatized by that single episode
hippie_chick 18th-Jan-2013 11:35 pm (UTC)
Right, I remember that episode. She and Khloe went out drinking and Kourt was all pumping and checking her milk for alcohol etc. And yeah the bikini wax, she burned Khloe with it. LOL!
treradical 18th-Jan-2013 11:32 pm (UTC)
he doesn't want to tell someone he loves that they smell, but he has no problem telling a reporter apparently
burn_a_miracle 18th-Jan-2013 11:33 pm (UTC)
I tell my husband he stinks when he stinks. You can love someone and tell them the truth, lol.
mari_lyn00 20th-Jan-2013 11:36 am (UTC)
i told my boyfriend (who always til that point had smelled amazing) the other day that he smelled, like it was too much chemical mix going on or something. He reeked. That's how I knew our relationship is going to the next level lol.
cerseilannister 18th-Jan-2013 11:33 pm (UTC)
this is obvs faked for the show. i doubt she smells. i mean, it looks like she takes care of herself.

anyways, i used to never sweat but now i do and it sucks. i suppose it's just body changes as my diet really hasn't changed or anything.
im_chris_hansen 18th-Jan-2013 11:35 pm (UTC)
breastfeeding burns calories/activates your body to start working up a sweat while you're just sitting there

i'd used to break out in sweats like hotflashes every time it was time to nurse/pump like even more if i went for a run

so, scott, not every breastfeeding lady is going to wear deodorant 24/7 to cover up some BO. get over it.
dinkydo 19th-Jan-2013 12:40 am (UTC)
OMG yes. My sweat was double strength in volume and smell when breastfeeding. I had to slather on the deodorant because regular applications left me stinky.
im_chris_hansen 19th-Jan-2013 12:41 am (UTC)
and its not like you wear deodorant for midnight feedings or slather it on the second you wake up before you can even get a moment's peace to jump in the shower...
queenweasley 19th-Jan-2013 04:08 am (UTC)
Wow, didn't know that could happen! /ignorant person here
simplylovable 18th-Jan-2013 11:35 pm (UTC)
i understand where shes coming from. deodorant is harmful enough as it is (breast cancer) but its not like she cant afford other options...
nicholasdee 18th-Jan-2013 11:39 pm (UTC)
oh god. I know aluminum is bad for you but unless she is also not eating fish and all that, its kinda minimal and not worth it.

also, the sweat gland thing was proven wrong by snopes ages ago

I tried natural deodorant. It made the skin peel off on my underarms. I figure whatever chemicals there are in dove I can live with over having the skin peel off my underarms.
spartacus 18th-Jan-2013 11:41 pm (UTC)
omg D: maybe you were allergic to something in the natural stuff?
nicholasdee 18th-Jan-2013 11:45 pm (UTC)
http://www.amazon.com/Toms-Maine-Natural-Deodorant-2-25-Ounce/dp/B001FB5OAO

I don't think so. It happens to a lot of people

But I have sensitive skin. I tried Burts Bees lotion once because I was just at a drug store (normally I use kiehls) and I got that because it was ~all natural~ so I thought it would be find and it broke me out in really painful hives
hardheartache 19th-Jan-2013 01:27 am (UTC)
I had that problem when I tried the natural deodorants. I finally tried Alvera's roll on and it's great. It smells good, too.
broken_organ 19th-Jan-2013 03:49 am (UTC)
Yeah, pretty much. Dove's awesome though, it's the only deodorant I've used that doesn't irritate my skin after shaving.
tigermilk 18th-Jan-2013 11:40 pm (UTC)
I wish I could use natural deodorant but my Prozac makes me sweat more than usual :/ So I need the drying action of the combo stuff.
ultra_obscene84 19th-Jan-2013 07:14 am (UTC)
Ugh, Prozac is a bitch. I'm glad I'm off it.
spartacus 18th-Jan-2013 11:40 pm (UTC)
aluminum-free deoderant is okay, it's antiperspirant that is bad. Toms of Maine ftw!
