It is hard not to compare when you are a fan of Sherlock in general and have seen pretty much every adaptation. It just doesn't have the same magic for me that other adaptations have-even the RDJ one from a few years back. I am trying to keep an open mind which is why I am still watching and I do enjoy certain parts of it. I am not bashing or dismissing it entirely by any means. I do like standard procedurals as long as I don't see too many of them at once and this one is probably located somewhere between Criminal Minds, Mentalist, and SVU. I also think introducing M may help-I am a sucker for a Big Bad that the hero has to chase between seasons.
