Les Mis Cast to Perform at the Oscars

LES MISERABLES Cast to Perform at the 85th Academy Awards!


According to Daily Mail, the cast of the Academy Award nominated LES MISERABLES will be performing at the Oscars this February. The song that will be performed is still undecided, but rumors are circulating that it will likely be either be a medley, or one of the ensemble numbers such as 'One Day More' or 'Do You Hear The People Sing.'

The paper reports that "It's still being decided what song will be sung, but Samantha will participate with other cast members such as best actor nominee Hugh Jackman, best supporting actress front-runner Anne Hathaway, heart-throb Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried and others in one of the rousing crowd numbers - One Day More or Do You Hear The People Sing.

Tbh I'd like to hear the whole cast sing One Day More together. It sounded so disjointed in the film, and I think that song needs to be done with the entire ensemble doing it live for it to really work.

i didn't watch the film for the singing tbh I think their performances fit the medium. i don't think big broadway voices would have been very good on such an intimate screen.

ia the sound mixing was so off on this song. You couldn't hear some other people's lines when they were layered over top, etc. It was a mess imo.

One Day More is my absolute favorite, and I HATE the way the movie made it sound...
It was awful.

Especially when I felt like I was going to keel over when I saw it live. I was bawling my eyes out at intermission and the lights came up and my dad had no earthly clue why I was a mess.
