Selena Gomez: It's hard to trust girls


Selena Gomez has said that she discusses relationship issues with Taylor Swift.

The Disney actress admitted that her friendship with the country singer isn't based on the showbiz world; instead, the pair like to talk about normal things such as love and family.

She told NYLON magazine: "We both experienced the same things at the same time. But we've never once talked about our industry.

"She just became the person I'd go to for an issue with my family or boyfriend. It's so hard to trust girls, so I'm lucky to have her."

I had more guy friends during college, only because my personality didn't click with any of the girls in my class. I really missed having girl friends because you can't talk about some things with male friends...like guy and period problems.

Like I love my friends but they still do stuff stupid and I'll talk/rant/bitch to my other friends about it, but I always end up telling the friend my feels but in a nicer manner.

venting is normal. it's healthy to recognize things that are bothering you and express them rather than bottling it up and letting it fester. the key is to not cross the line of what's appropriate, and to own it and apologize if you do cross that line.

1. i'm in the minority by saying this but girls are BRUTAL. the way my high school was is the plot of mean girls.
2. and in college some of the girls i've met are some of the weakest people i've ever met in my entire life.
3. while i get along better with guys, i am thankful for the handful of girls that i am friends/get along with

High school for me was like that and then college was basically this weird competition to be the ultimate guys' girl but after that, in other situations I generally find that nobody has time for that stuff thankfully.

My very closest friends are a mixed group, guys and girls. I spend more time hanging out with girls but I have a few guys that I'm very close to who are awesome. I trust both TBH. I think it depends on the individual.

If you have a great set of friends, you're lucky, not everyone has that. If somebody isn't lucky enough to have amazing girlfriends, that's not a reason to make them feel even more shit about themselves by telling them there must be something wrong with them.

Women who say things like this have no forethought. You're saying you're hard to trust, or catty, or bitchy, or unlikeable, or whatever it is that they say. I know the implication is that you're the exception, but trust me, you aren't. If you're hanging out with a group of guys who say things like "you're not like other girls!" rest assured the moment you have any sort of emotional reaction they don't like, they'll retract that.
