New descriptions for new episodes of "The Carrie Diaries" and trouble ahead for Carrie and Sebastian

Now that Carrie and Sebastian are hanging out, things are going to get more difficult on The Carrie Diaries. The new bad boy at school is very much in-demand and with Carrie's busy schedule and Donna being very aggressive, they'll have to work to make their situation flourish. Will they put forth enough effort and be honest enough for all other threats to be diminished? Or is there going to be something that knocks them down soon enough?

Listed below are the dates, episode titles, and episode descriptions of two upcoming episodes of The Carrie Diaries.

Monday, January 28th - "Read Before Use"
After Tom (Matt Letscher) forbids Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) to see Sebastian (Austin Butler) again, Carrie snoops through Tom's work files and uncovers some alarming information about Sebastian's past. Carrie decides to confront Sebastian about what she's discovered and is shocked by his reaction. Maggie (Katie Findlay) deals with her breakup with Walt (Brendan Dooling) in the only way she knows how and finds some solace from Dorrit (Stefania Owen.) Meanwhile, Larissa (Freema Agyman) takes Carrie, Mouse (Ellen Wong) and Seth (special guest Kyle Harris) to an outrageous performance art club in New York City, which leaves them all feeling self-conscious.

Monday, February 4th - "Fright Night"
When Carrie is invited to a Halloween party in the city by Larissa, she decides to invite Walt to go with her to keep her company. It doesn't take long before the night goes awry and Carrie is forced to babysit Larissa, who has clearly taken too many drugs. Walt finds himself in an uncomfortable position after a party guest gets a little too close for comfort. Elsewhere, Maggie convinces Mouse to go with her to Sebastian's Halloween party at the diner to help keep tabs on him. After Doritt's attempt to sneak out of the house is thwarted, she discovers hanging out with her father isn't so bad.

The Carrie Diaries airs Mondays at 8:00 on The CW.

What will Carrie find out about Sebastian's past? Are you glad that Carrie will mix her two worlds this early into the show? Will the break-up with Maggie give Walt the courage to come out?

I didn't dislike the pilot. It was decent enough. The soundtrack helped a lot, too.

When is this set? High school? I just want an episode about the abortion she had to get after sleeping with the equivalent of a TGIFriday's waiter
myblackass 18th-Jan-2013 12:49 am (UTC)
Me too.

suzycat 18th-Jan-2013 01:02 am (UTC)
Wait, she's supposed to be wearing 80s clothing in that pic? OK.
theratwhispers 18th-Jan-2013 01:22 am (UTC)
Wait. This supposed to take place in 1984?

LOL!!!!

I wish... but these series have nothing to do with the HBO SATC
It's based on the books, I was disappointed when I read them and the stories didn't match with the series I have been watching my whole life.
some_dumb_kid 18th-Jan-2013 01:41 am (UTC)
in the book mouse had an abortion
slutdrunkmystag 18th-Jan-2013 04:55 am (UTC)
Sounds like this has nothing to do with the story lines and character backstory that they developed in the show. Like she's living with her dad who's crazy about her and (I think?) her mom is dead, and on SATC, Carrie's dad ran out on her family. I don't get what the point is of connecting it to the show if they aren't going to keep the character the same.
yah_bish_yah 18th-Jan-2013 12:43 am (UTC)
lol how did they not know Walt was gay though...
pseudovirus 18th-Jan-2013 07:43 am (UTC)
small towns man.. this is supposed to be the 80s.. i remember so many more obviously gay guys in my HS in the late 2000s in the closet. suburbia man

#BrendanDoolingStan

plus his character is gaaaaay so that is just further motivation
redaodai 18th-Jan-2013 12:44 am (UTC)
He's cutie. I kept expecting the premiere to end with him making out with a guy behind his girlfriend's back.
luna_norvegese 18th-Jan-2013 12:45 am (UTC)
I really love how they embrace the 80s look! Since the series is set in the early 80s. No seriously. Early 80s.
kurtvonnegut 18th-Jan-2013 12:46 am (UTC)
lol i know it's based on a young carrie but "fashionable" teenagers on tv shows always make me rme
sugarbobbin 18th-Jan-2013 12:57 am (UTC)
I like The Lying Game on ABCFamily, but they're all going to school in 6 inch platform heels, supershort skirts and dresses, and always so put together. I'm like no one dresses like this in high school, they wear spongebob PJ bottoms and "ironic" screen tees.
cpb1220 18th-Jan-2013 01:01 am (UTC)
Yeah it's like dress codes just don't exist in TV world.
suzycat 18th-Jan-2013 01:04 am (UTC)
Especially given that I never got the impression Carrie came from a lot of money. Not able to go Choo-shopping in those days. ONE pair of jeans.
pikapika217 18th-Jan-2013 01:06 am (UTC)
she isn't all that fashionable in the pilot TBQH. Her only nice outfit is a gift from Larissa
hrhobo 18th-Jan-2013 02:11 am (UTC)
yeah, and they're always styled so pedestrian. like that one jane show from abc family that got cancelled.
xandy_candyx 18th-Jan-2013 11:57 am (UTC)
lol, ikr...pll is the worst! i cant find anything better, but these are nothing compared to some heels she had to wear:
slaughtermatic 18th-Jan-2013 12:47 am (UTC)
This show is the dumbest thing ever.
aaameeting 18th-Jan-2013 12:52 am (UTC)
I loved the pilot.
lovealwaysliana 18th-Jan-2013 12:53 am (UTC)
she has a very round face

iamglory 18th-Jan-2013 12:57 am (UTC)
She marries Mr. Big...of course it won't work out. What the fuck is the point of this show when you know how it ends anyway?!
aaameeting 18th-Jan-2013 01:01 am (UTC)
No one stays together after high school
iamglory 18th-Jan-2013 01:10 pm (UTC)
Perhaps not anymore...but my parents did....so....
cpb1220 18th-Jan-2013 01:06 am (UTC)
Yeah I really just don't get it. Carrie was the worst character on SATC, who gives a fuck about her back story? I'd watch a show on ANY of the others.
l27freakshow 18th-Jan-2013 01:49 am (UTC)
It's not like they're sticking to the story from Sex and the City anyway. These writers are just making it into whatever they want.
howveryasif 18th-Jan-2013 12:58 am (UTC)
I enjoyed the first episode. AnnaSophia is adorable and I totally buy her as young Carrie.
one_hoopy_frood 18th-Jan-2013 12:58 am (UTC)
I don't get how they managed to fuck up 80s fashion so much (from all of the set pictures I've seen + promo pics). It is perplexing.
redaodai 18th-Jan-2013 01:00 am (UTC)
I told my dad it was set in the '80s and he said he couldn't tell from whatever little he saw as he passed by the TV.
theratwhispers 18th-Jan-2013 01:17 am (UTC)
That is flabbergasting me the most. It's not remotely 80s at all.
one_hoopy_frood 18th-Jan-2013 03:36 am (UTC)
I mean at least SOME people working on that show must have been teenagers or even adults in the 80s, right? THEY MUST REMEMBER THAT IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT.
blazinguns 18th-Jan-2013 01:22 am (UTC)
I think AnnaSophia openly acknowledged that they weren't literal with the fashion inspiration. In a way I get it, for a modern viewer it would become just an endless lol-fest if the styles were literal.
figure_skater18 18th-Jan-2013 01:00 am (UTC)
The entire time I was watching it the other night the only thing I could think of was the girl playing Carrie looks more like a young Lindsay Lohan (pre-drugs), rather than a young SJP/Carrie.
