You'll have to use a topical exfoliant and a high PPD sunscreen.

Alpha Hydrox lotion, or the Walgreens store brand equivalent is inexpensive. The Olay Elixr is also really good. It's more expensive for a drugstore brand, but it is a really good product and well formulated (it contains glycolic acid and peptides). Niacinamide also helps fade dark spots. Cerave PM is a really good light moisturizer with niacinamide. Olay also makes niacinamide products. Stay out of the sun and use a really good sunscreen. Eating cleanly also helps repair skin.
