Michael J. Fox throws the shade of all shades at Taylor Swift

Remember at the Golden Globes, when Tina Fey told serial dater Taylor Swift to "stay away from Michael J. Fox's son," Sam? That was a pretty amazing moment. So you can imagine how thrilled we were to relive it with the elder Fox himself last night at a book party for Ann Leary's The Good House. Would Fox approve of a Sam/Taylor (Saylor) love connection? we asked. "No. No ... Just back off," he told us. "I don’t keep up with it all," he said. "But Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right?" Right! "What a way to build a career." So if Swift showed up to a Fox family dinner (possibly wearing her fox sweater), how would he react? "I wouldn’t even know who she was," he said. But it'd probably dawn on him after the breakup song hit the radio. "Yeah, exactly," he said. "'Sam, You Piece of Shit.' Oh … that was the girl you brought home!"

Ikr. So irritated at how that one douchebag move practically launched her career

It wasn't even that douchebag-y. He didn't say ANYTHING mean and everything he did say was 100% TRUTH. Lil' Mama made a much bigger ass out of herself that night but no one cared because she didn't interrupt a precious blonde-haired blue-eyed all-American white girl. Also, my mom thought she was like 15 at the time- that blowhard was already NINETEEN! Not some lost little girl. Ugh.

/rant. Team Kanye for life (or until he knocked up She Who Must Not Be Named).

Where is Lil Mama though?

I felt so uncomfortable watching her act like a fucking idiot. Like, "sit down, beetch."

he really didnt though, she was successful at a v early age esp. on country radio. she was already a staple there. why does everyone forget that she was up there receiving an award when this happened? and the fact she had already been nominated for a grammy, won an AMA and other country music awards.

i don't think having a big tween following is the same as being a household name though. A lot of people I knew at the time had no idea who the hell she was. They might've heard one of her songs but if they saw her in a magazine would be like, "The hell is this?"

i don't see how being nominated for a grammy and winning an AMA and other country awards amounts to just having a tween following.

people hate to admit this but taylor swift was on the rise before kanye, even if it was more so in the country music scene. he didn't launch her career. people's careers are launched way before they become household names. they both used each other as a platform but she was becoming successful even without his help.
