Britney Spears: Live From Las Vegas

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Britney’s signed her multi-million dollar Vegas deal, and the announcement is imminent, claims new reports.
Though nothing’s confirmed from the horse’s mouth, some believe Brit’s Sin City residency will earn her a cool $200 million for two years.

It is thought she’ll perform at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, a stage home to Elton John, Shania Twain and Celine Dion. But will the big paycheck earn Vegas big bucks?

“She has a narrower appeal” than, say, a Dion, one music business expert tells Eonline.com. But then again, it would be a “good look” for whoever lands the Britney deal… in other words, a publicity coup worth paying extra for.

Experts believe Britney could pull in $2 million a week. Multiply that by 40 weeks a year for several years, and you’re looking at a gold mine.

“Deals such as this are based on scale,” says Daren Libonati, president and COO of the promotion and production company Justice Entertainment Group. “That’s a very basic guess on what such a deal might look like. It could be even more.”

“It’s good branding for whoever signs with her.”

Viva Las Vegas.

I know most stans are like "get that muny, gurl" or "snatching wigs left and right" when it comes to $$$, but I don't care if she gets $10 or $200 millions if I am not gonna be able to see her shows. This is a horrible idea. She needs to stawp, then go back to the studio, give us an album and tour.

I don't get what you mean by she won't share her money with her fans
luckyluxk 16th-Jan-2013 08:28 pm (UTC)
I don't care if she is earning millions if not all of her fans will be able to see her. It's a shitty deal for all of us, lbr.

fauxparadiso 16th-Jan-2013 08:31 pm (UTC)
Not all her fans are ever able to see her anyway. Not everyone is close enough to a major city or has money for traveling/concert tix.
noon 16th-Jan-2013 08:44 pm (UTC)
lol wtf no matter where she performed it still wouldn't be possible for every britney fan to see her live
eyduh 16th-Jan-2013 08:46 pm (UTC)
i know there's a 98% chance i'll ever see my faves live and i'm okay with admiring them from a far.

there's so many people in countries she wouldn't have visited anyway that could say the same thing

diosabellissima 16th-Jan-2013 09:36 pm (UTC)
I've never been able to go to one of her concerts and I'm a fan. Wait, not true, I had tickets once and she cancelled.

Anyway, now I can pretty cheaply go to Vegas and enjoy a show, so I ain't mad.
sowhat_whocares 16th-Jan-2013 10:10 pm (UTC)
wtf? "all" her fans are never able to see her. she doesnt personally knock on everyone's door and sings and dances for them if they buy her albums. I seriously dont get why you're so pressed.

aside from that, its 2 years of her life. she isnt locking herself up in an ivory tower for the rest of her career.
miss_almost 16th-Jan-2013 08:29 pm (UTC)
so much this.
ch33rylips 16th-Jan-2013 08:23 pm (UTC)

redhandedjilll 16th-Jan-2013 08:55 pm (UTC)
And aren't flights to Vegas usually cheap as fuck? I know I've seen flights for $50 one way.
tearstreaked 16th-Jan-2013 09:11 pm (UTC)
I live in Vegas, hollaaaa!
lavosspawn 16th-Jan-2013 09:20 pm (UTC)
I live here. Wish I liked Britney, I'd be set.
run_atreyu 17th-Jan-2013 10:01 am (UTC)
IKR. Shit, I live in New Zealand and have travelled all over for concerts, including to the States and Ireland. I mean, obviously I'm lucky enough to have the means to do it and I certainly realise that most people don't, but sometimes the way people cry over their city being missed in a concert tour seriously blows my mind. I don't think the OP is one of those because s/he lives outside of the US by the sounds of things, but I've seriously seen Americans piss and moan that their city is being missed even though there's a concert a couple of hours away across the state line. WTF? Get in a car and drive your ass there. Mega fan, my ass.
charlie 16th-Jan-2013 08:24 pm (UTC)
this won't end well

luckyluxk 16th-Jan-2013 08:26 pm (UTC)
lol jordan's source is even worse
powerbottom 16th-Jan-2013 08:34 pm (UTC)
Too busy power bottoming for his boyfriend to even use reliable sources.
xena_mademegay 16th-Jan-2013 09:03 pm (UTC)
why are bitching about breatheheavy if you're constantly sourcing from there?
rocknrollroots 16th-Jan-2013 08:24 pm (UTC)
I hope she does an album and a tour first. If not I guess I'll be taking my ass to Vegas.
thebloomroom 16th-Jan-2013 08:24 pm (UTC)
meh i feel like if she wants/has to be performing, this is better for her mentally and stress wise. she doesnt have to travel around and can have a consistent lifestyle for a bit.
marywebgirl 16th-Jan-2013 08:51 pm (UTC)
ellecain 16th-Jan-2013 09:40 pm (UTC)
mte good for her
bbgood 17th-Jan-2013 12:14 am (UTC)
i think its mostly for her kids. so they can have a stable home, school, and she can constantly be with them.

edit: which actually leads to me to believe that she legit still likes performing, even if she's not good as dancing as she once was (and she knows it).

dubiously 16th-Jan-2013 08:24 pm (UTC)
lmao if that's a legit promo poster.
abbie 16th-Jan-2013 08:26 pm (UTC)
it's from 2002 or something
rocknrollroots 16th-Jan-2013 08:28 pm (UTC)
It's oldschool

joyeuxcherie 16th-Jan-2013 09:06 pm (UTC)
I have this DVD and I watch it all the time because it was brilliant and Britney was so hot and flawless.
idgi 16th-Jan-2013 09:34 pm (UTC)
that britney i loved so much is gone forever. it's very obvious she doesn't want to be in showbiz anymore.
secretly 17th-Jan-2013 03:35 am (UTC)
this tour was so amazing. so glad i got to see it live.
cab 16th-Jan-2013 08:28 pm (UTC)

Dream Within a Dream Tour Live from Las Vegas
s0ftlyraining 16th-Jan-2013 09:02 pm (UTC)
Thats from when she did her HBO special in Vegas in early 2002. Ugh, I'm old.
fauxparadiso 16th-Jan-2013 08:24 pm (UTC)
lol ew photo and what is this selfish rant.
crazyfirecrotch 16th-Jan-2013 08:26 pm (UTC)
fuck all this. she's slowly and surely breaking away from her management and becoming into her own again. GIVE US THE MOTHER FUCKING AUTOBIOGRAPHY YOU PROMISED US FROM ON THE RECORD!
rocknrollroots 16th-Jan-2013 08:28 pm (UTC)
Stop yelling at Britney :P
xliquidskiesx 16th-Jan-2013 08:34 pm (UTC)
britney is (understandably) way more guarded after everything she's been through. I don't know why many think that she'll make an autobiography or give more interviews if she breaks away from her management. i mean look at how uncomfortable she is on red carpets or in interviews. that's not the doing of her management.
crazyfirecrotch 16th-Jan-2013 08:46 pm (UTC)

ani_di_franco 16th-Jan-2013 08:32 pm (UTC)
I've been to the last 2 tours and they are fun. I would totally go to Vegas and catch a Britney show while I'm there.
powerbottom 16th-Jan-2013 08:32 pm (UTC)

And if there's a single Will.I.Am track on the album then Vegas is all this CD deserves.
luckyluxk 16th-Jan-2013 08:35 pm (UTC)
Sis, you know there'll be at least one willem track on her album, you are being unfair and unrealistic
powerbottom 16th-Jan-2013 08:37 pm (UTC)
Who knows, maybe she picks up some twelve year old producer from Zimbabwe that knows how to drop the beats like no other and gives us the album we've all been waiting for and then retires.
sky_ablaze 16th-Jan-2013 08:35 pm (UTC)
I'm on the fence about it. I think it'd cool if she were to do it, but I wouldn't be disappointed if it doesn't go through.

I'd only be a 45 minute flight away if she does tho hehe
powerbottom 16th-Jan-2013 08:38 pm (UTC)
Hell, I'd be on a two hour flight but it would still be annoying to head there.

I guess I gotta start saving up though because even though I say I won't, I'll end up going.
bbgood 17th-Jan-2013 12:16 am (UTC)
not to creep but i think you're from seattle right? yeah its a 2 hour flight for me too and honestly everyone here at my school travels to vegas and this would be my highlight of my trips now since i don't enjoy gambling.
sky_ablaze 17th-Jan-2013 03:41 am (UTC)
Yup, yup, yup. Same here lol

And I saw your reply to another user. Even though you are 19, the strip is still amazing!! Lots of things to see. You can just walk it at night, roam in and out of all of the hotels, and go shopping! Caesars Palace has a nice mall. There's Madame Tussaud's wax museum where I think they have a Britney there. I'm pretty sure the Hard Rock Cafe currently has something of Brit's there too! I wasn't able to go last time and I was devastated :(((( The Bellagio has the water show (where Brit performed lol). Go and visit the Little White Wedding Chapel where she got married!! All I did was drive by and I was still so excited lmao So can make it a whole Brit trip if you want!! There's also Fremont Street too that's pretty cool, imo.

Oh and sometimes the ushers (idk what their proper title is, they are usually behind a little podium in hotels) will try and find you a general entertainment show and if you want it at a discount price, you go attend some seminar. When I went, it was a seminar about time shares and it was b o r i n g as fuck. They just keep you there for a few hours. If you buy one they send you back in a nice limo. If not, they ship you back in a small bus with everyone else who said no lmao So idk, just thought I'd pass this along to you. If it was a family trip, I'd maybe (big maybe) do it again, but if I went with friends, then probably not lol it takes out a good chunk of your day.

k i never intended this to be so long, sooo i'ma stop lol
memorian 16th-Jan-2013 08:36 pm (UTC)
they would actually pay someone $200 million for 2 years just to lip-sync and barely even dance on stage??....I've definitely gotten into the wrong business.
markovnikov 16th-Jan-2013 08:39 pm (UTC)
i have this annoying "friend" on facebook who moved to vegas and acts like he is living the life of luxury and it is the most exotic place on earth. he's constantly posting picture of like "me with arvin brown director of the 1998 lifetime movie 'a change of heart'" also he's fat
stfuabel 16th-Jan-2013 08:42 pm (UTC)
nhf fat
powerbottom 16th-Jan-2013 08:42 pm (UTC)
I once saw Chris Daughtry at the mall and I just swerved because I was embarrassed I even recognized his ass.

But your friend sounds like he goes for anyone that has been on TV or has had any sort of fame at one point.
noon 16th-Jan-2013 08:52 pm (UTC)
you sound jealous

ahahahahaha. you should start doing that with pictures of you with completely random people. See if he picks up on it.

crazyfirecrotch 16th-Jan-2013 09:44 pm (UTC)
isn't that the point of social media to glorify your life? it's just fb don't take it so serious. instead just laugh at it. You can defriend or hide their activity. i'm telling you just laugh it off, people are bizerk on it... esp the politically-religious ones.
harderthanalist 17th-Jan-2013 01:44 am (UTC)
Make love with him.
iheartfamke 17th-Jan-2013 04:36 am (UTC)
Omg the thirst.
xoxoxosteph 16th-Jan-2013 08:41 pm (UTC)
Unless she changes how she's performed the last 5 years I don't see how this would last.
luckyluxk 16th-Jan-2013 08:42 pm (UTC)
idgi 16th-Jan-2013 09:36 pm (UTC)
sadly, i agree. i was one of like 3 people on here who [correctly] predicted she'd be on x factor for only one season.
