ia! webcams are pretty universal these days. i skype with people i've only known for a few days on the internet so i can't imagine asking someone i was romantically involved with, having them say they can't and then continuing on like it was totes normal. this is not 2003 when webcams were expensive.

Exactly! These people accept excuses that the persons computer is broken, they don't have a Skype account, no webcam, etc. I can understand that working for maybe a week or two.... But months or years?? Personally, I'd get bored with someone's lame excuses after a couple weeks at most.

lol at don't have a skype account. if that was someone's legit excuse, i couldn't even function. cause it takes so long to establish one.
i used to be in an online relationship, back in the 00s, in which i was being catfished and honestly, the lies were so ridic. By the end of it, I would just nod and smile then show everyone the bullshit he sent me and laugh. but yeah, it got hella boring after a while.
