“Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have split up for the second time,” according to The Sun.
The outlet claims Pattinson “called it off again after a difficult festive period together” in November and December, allegedly breaking the news to Stewart last weekend.
A source for The Sun says, “She flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob’s date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off.”
The Sun insider adds, “He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight.”
“Kristen’s upset but understands,” relays the outlet’s source. “She shouldn’t have pushed him to reconcile after her infidelity. She’s hoping he’ll come round and time will be a great healer.”
Uh-huh.
Here’s the problem.
The Sun, which has spent months sensationalizing stories about Stewart and Pattinson, speculating inaccurately about their plans, and twisting facts to fit a false narrative, is at it again — “reporting” a dramatic, wrong version of events.
Stewart was never supposed to be Pattinson’s red carpet “date” at the Golden Globes.
This is an example of an outlet retroactively bending a total non-story into something appearing to support its bogus premise.
What Stewart did do on Sunday was hit the post-Globes party circuit — with Pattinson.
There was no breakup.
Tabloids, frustrated by a lack of drama with the duo, have been floating new baseless “split” rumors.
The Sun — knowing that Stewart and Pattinson (1) avoid speaking publicly about their relationship, and (2) will be spending time apart this winter due to professional commitments — decided to publish a fabricated “breakup” story, giving no substance.
The paper even tellingly leaves open the possibility of a reconciliation, because it wants to cover its tracks when it’s proven wrong.
It’s because the story is 100 percent false.
Gossip Cop has checked around with sources close to the couple, and no one can confirm any truth whatsoever to the split speculation.
It’s just more nonsense from an outlet that’s printed more than it’s fair share.

i know what you're saying. i dated a guy and kept thinking he was going to get better and stop being such an idiot all the time, and then realized i wasted months waiting on something that was never gonna happen
I don't care that he's stayed with her, that's his prerogative, but the circus isn't one sided.
