Jessica Simpson Talks Second Pregnancy: Eric Johnson "Keeps Knocking Me Up"

Jessica Simpson is just rolling with it. The pregnant-again 32-year-old singer, designer and reality star revealed her expanding baby bump and curves in a tight leopard-print dress during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday Jan. 15 -- and was typically frank with Leno about dealing with a totally unexpected second pregnancy just six months after the birth of daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson.

One plan that keeps changing? Simpson's intended wedding to her babies' dad, Eric Johnson. "We've had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up," Simpson joked of the former NFL pro, 33, to whom she has been engaged for over two years.

"We're doing it very backwards, I know... I'll just keep my legs crossed, I guess, this time," cracked the Fashion Star mentor. "Apparently it was a part of God's plan for my life," she continued. When she discovered she was expecting again, "I was extremely shocked," Simpson said. "Because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened, all over again!"

This time around, however, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman is determined to have a decidedly healthier pregnancy. While pregnant with Maxwell, Simpson admitted she gained "a lot more than doctors would recommend."

"I was really happy to be pregnant and I didn't ever step on the scale," admitted the blonde, who eventually lost 50 pounds post-baby via Weight Watchers and a personal trainer. "I didn't realize you could gain that much weight that quickly."

lol, I just had one less than 3 months ago too, and the first thing my doctor told me was that while breastfeeding, my options were basically condoms or the low-dose BC if I didn't want to hinder milk production. It was literally the first thing out of her mouth because she sees so many women back in so soon because they don't think they can get pregnant while breastfeeding.

Hell, even the nurse, while make small talk with me, commented on how many ladies she sees back within just a couple of months after birth. She's like, "Maybe we'll see you back here soon!" and I was like "NOPE! OFF TO BUY CONDOMS ON THE WAY HOME. THANKS!"

What about having an IUD placed after childbirth or soon after? I have one now and I've never had a child before, so I don't know how much time you'd need for your uterus to "heal" before doing that. Sorry that was a ramble.

My OB gives you the paperwork at the 6 week postpartum appointment if you want one.

I am terrified of those. My SIL had one and she bleed until they took it out. Sounds awful tbh.

I would really have to talk to a Dr. about that cause I have heard alot of women having issues with the IUD, particularly it embedding itself into your uterus.

Breastfeeding can delay fertility, buy you never know when it's going to return!

When I was born, the nurse said, "See you next year!" to my mom, who balked heavily at her. 18 months later, she walked on back in. The nurse laughed herself silly.

I'm pregnant with my first and I've already been saying how I want to go on BC again ASAP after I have this baby. But I haven't talked to the docs about it yet (I'm only 18 weeks so it's early for that talk). Good to know that condoms will be my big investment!
