To me she's one of the most likable new stars to emerge. Unless I missed some crazy twitter rant where she revealed her hatred for women, children, kittens and puppies.

I like Emma (obviously), had to say that before this...

I didnt believe her in Gangster Squad as this sultry sexy dame. I didn't believe her in Zombieland as this shoot 'Em up badass either but I heard she wasn't even the first choice casting for that so that could be reason.

Another poster said she has a goofy face, that could play into it. I don't necessarily think she should just stick to romcoms and comedies but the girl has an encyclopedia of slap stick facial expressions alone you can see in her various interviews. I think she really wants to be taken seriously and be able to be called well-versed that she's just taking the spaghetti that will stick to the wall, if you will, e.g gangster squad - a familiar setting with Ryan and Ruben's returning faces. A lot of posters have said too that Jennifer Lawrence could easily beat her out of the roles she'd be up for in the future if she doesn't step up her game.

I'm interested in this mostly because I haven't decided whether or not she has a good range. She was only okay/kind of boring in The Help and I haven't seen Gangster Squad yet (but she kind of looks miscast in that as well).

I like her and think she's funny, but I was not a fan of her in Zombieland. She doesn't do badass/sultry and sexy well (which shows in Gangster Squad).

She should do dark comedies.

I know I am wasting my angst and bitter time here like I wasted on Hathaway but can't she give (me) a break already?
Why do they need to try ALL of the boxes to be 'in' and relevant...

Then again Chastain just did it and I love her... SO yeah this is just bias speaking here... clearing.

And I am an unconditional of Del Toro, even Katie Holmes can't spoil that for me.

Like some other posters said tho, she better stick to comedy. She is the next Betty White.

I miss when she looked like this. Before she lost weight and went blonde.

She's a natural blonde though. She dyed her hair red when she started out in Hollywood. I guess she knew it suited her better.

Personally, I like the blonde. I think that the weight loss is what makes the difference.
