3 NEW Mama Clips Released

The Guillermo Del Toro-produced horror flick, MAMA, is set to debut this week and today we have an exclusive clip from the film, which introduces you to the feral children of the titular mom.  The film stars Jessica Chastain, who is burning up screens everywhere with her performance in ZERO DARK THIRTY, as well as Nikolaj Costar-Waldau, also known as Jaimie Lannister/The Kingslayer in HBO's Game of Thrones.  That's a pretty good bonus for MAMA, which is helmed by first-time director Andres Muschietti.

The extended clip is pretty creepy and cool, which may well sway you into theaters if you were still on the fence.  I'm certainly intrigued by the premise and look forward to catching this, if for no other reason than to see the lovely Chastain chew through some more scenery and some Del-Toro inspired scares.

everyone is saying that the short it's based on is amazing tho, and isn't del toro producing or something?

yeah i was hoping it'd be good b/c of del toro, but the trailer just looked so meh to me. someone later in this post commented that she saw an advanced screening and that it wasn't that great or scary and that it had the typical scary-movie tactics. disappointing tbh :P

:/ well

I'll enjoy the eye candy at least

I've been looking forward to this for too long so of course it's going to be disappointing, sigh

I've got faith in this one. The short was really creepy and it has a good director behind it. I don't mind if it has typical scare tactics since I think the creature/ghost is really creepy enough
