It's a time warp Post! Myspace is Back!

A few months back MySpace previewed its completely revamped and redesigned social network now fronted by singer and actor Justin Timberlake. At the time, the video of the preview won rave reviews, so much so that it seemed like the redesign might have been almost too ambitious. But now the site has finally launched and, amazingly, MySpace delivers on all the design beauty shown in the preview, breathing new life into a site many had left for dead.

First, let's cut to the chase: This is an amazingly beautiful, beautiful site. The ease of use is off the charts. Seriously. Imagine if you took Instagram, Tumblr, Grooveshark, and Vimeo, mashed them into one amalgam of social media goodness and then asked Jony Ive to put some finishing touches on the whole thing and you'll begin to get an idea of how attractive and easy to use the new MySpace is.

Although the site appears to be primarily focused on music--allowing users to upload songs, create music mixes accompanied by slideshows, and listen to streaming radio--the site also features other tools for blogging, messaging, and photo and video sharing.

I'll confess, when I saw the preview of this site back in the fall, I thought the idea was attractive, but as someone who is pretty much burned out on Facebook over-sharing, the idea of another social network (much less a rehash of an old one) didn't sound very interesting. But the fact is, the new MySpace is so good it's almost a shame that they didn't opt to come up with a new name, because the checkered history of the brand is probably the only thing that might hold this site back.

In case you're still not convinced, you can check out the surprisingly accurate preview of the new MySpace in the video below, or sign up for an account here.

You should be more vigilant with people when they're like that, I give people a couple of chances, if they post too much random shit or just post too much about themselves at all I just defriend them.

Of if you don't want to do that just put the settings so that you don't see their posts on your newsfeed (and they won't know).
