i agree :/ i wish it was an hour premiere so we could at least get more of a peek of what's going to happen in the future. i enjoyed marnie's mom though.
why would any of these character grow? They are all still struggling and they are in their early 20s. Not like 5 years have passed. Probably just a few months since episode 1.
Drama/comedic shows that comment on present societies, like "Girls", try/should be about character arc and development. If characters don't grow, then what's the point of watching?
The whole point of the show is to watch these girls (who not too long ago got out of college) enter the real world and try to be adults through learned experiences. It would be weird to see them magically mature over the course of a few months. Hell some people in their 30's are still a fucking mess personally and professionally.
I think they should be slow as possible with how much growth they show to be as realistic as possible.
