With the Golden Globes tonight, we're waiting with bated breath for the fierce fashion we'll see on the red carpet.
But Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain and the other ladies nominated for the coveted award will have some pretty fancy designer shoes to fill. As one of the major awards shows of the season, the Globes sets the stage for some of the most memorable style statements of the year from some of Hollywood's most glamorous gals.
With that in mind, we're taking a look back at Golden Globes looks that have impressed us over the years. Whether wowing in sparkling sequins, like Anne Hathaway did back in 2011 in a dazzling Armani Privé gown, or flaunting their figures with plunging necklines like Emma Stone in a gorgeous Grecian-inspired Lanvin at last year's event, certain leading ladies have simply taken our breath away. Of course, we've also applauded fashion risk-takers like Eva Mendes, who attended the 2009 awards show in a striking strapless from Dior years before the winter-white trend was hot.
5. EVA LONGORIA

In a nod to old-school Hollywood glamour, the petite actress opted for a classically chic style with a red-hot Reem Acra strapless with a mermaid tail. A scalloped sweetheart neckline added a modern twist to her look at the 2009 award show.
4. OLIVIA WILDE

The star turned heads in a chocolate brown princess dress by Marchesa embellished with dazzling gold sequins at the 2011 Golden Globe awards. She smartly styled her hair in a casual down 'do to balance out her dramatic dress.
3. EMMA STONE

The red-headed beauty added edge to her two-tone Lanvin gown by cinching it with an eye-catching eagle belt at the 2012 Golden Globes.
2. KATHERINE HEIGL

The blonde beauty's black dress was anything but basic thanks to its flirty ruffled fishtail hemline and feminine sweetheart neckline at the 2007 Golden Globes.
1. ANGELINA JOLIE

For the 2012 Golden Globes, the star embraced a high-fashion look from Atelier Versace with a one-shoulder dress with a red accent along the neckline.

Considering how so many have been looking like a hot mess this awards circuit, I am not sure what to expect tonight. Thoughts?

I saw this on reddit and was very pleased:
" Playboy asked Thompson (and many other music industry figures) in 1999 for their suggestions for the "top ten songs of the millennium". Guessing that Playboy expected most people's lists to start at around 1950, Thompson took the magazine at its word and presented a list of songs from the 11th century to the present day."

heigl above emma stone
really
really
and the jolie dress was absolutely hideous and akin to something worn to prom
more like the fact that either of those heinous looks are on this list at all loooool
her makeup was on point but the dress was pretty meh
i really hate that gif of her making that face on leno or something that people use around here i mean jesus talk about ugly
she can be qt but not in that gif
How did Evil Mendes make the cut in that bath robe?!
Emma and Angelina do look fucking fantastic.
Angelina looks incredible but mostly coz of her crazy beautiful face and presence.
Emma's dress was fun and cool, it was youthful but still event appropriate. She's lost her sense of fun with clothes imo, the clothes are wearing her these days.
Can't wait to see what Jen Law wears.
also fun fact: out of the 10 women nominated for best actress tonight, emily blunt is the only won that's never been nominated for an oscar.
