Beyoncé And Jay-Z Throw $200,000 Birthday Party For Blue Ivy

Nothing is too good for Blue Ivy Carter.

For her first birthday last Monday, her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z spent a cool $200,000 on a party for the adorable tot.

The doting mom and dad hosted a princess-themed party for family and friends. They reportedly spent $95,000 on the finest pink and white roses, and the cake cost just over $2,000.

Toys and gifts for their guests racked up another $30,000.

The truly over-the-top expenditure was for Blue Ivy’s dazzling gift — a spectacular diamond-encrusted Barbie doll that cost $80,000!

Blue Ivy already has use of the most expensive suite at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center.

Jay-Z is shelling out $1 million a year for a suite that was partially turned into a nursery. That when when dad is there cheering on his beloved Nets, Blue Ivy is being well cared for just a few feet away.

It’s very, very good to be Blue Ivy!

rich, because the wealthy would be more modest and discreet with how they choose to spend their money

i think this is crass as fuck, esp. to be in the media, considering the continued distance and polarisation of class warfare

i love jay z and he seems real as fuck. beowulf not so much. she is mad talented and may come off as a nice person with great manners but deep down i think she's arrogant and the earth will stop revolving on its axis before i believe she gave birth to a child c-section vag or otherwise without live unimpuned vidoe. if she needed a surrogate due to infertility claps for her finding a way but i believe that she couldn't be bothered to put her body through a pregnancy.

people with money shouldn't have to apologise for having money but to flaunt it directly or indirectly is in poor taste imo

"The wealthy would be more modest and discreet with how they choose to spend their money."
I honestly fail to see how Jay-Z and Beyoncé are not discrete here. They had a private party for their one year-old.

Media outlets would just rather speculate on their expenses than Warren Buffet's or the emir of Dubaï's.
