Fox to Renew Glee for 5th Season "And Beyond," Ryan Murphy & Darren Criss Remain On Top (& Bottom)

Fox Entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly expressed confidence in Glee on Tuesday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour.

Speaking to reporters following his executive session, Reilly said he's in the early stages of talks to renew the musical dramedy from co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk before the upfronts in May, opening the door for Oxygen's reality competition The Glee Project to return for a third season.

"Yes, that is a real possibility," he said of the global property. "We're going to negotiate now for the fifth season and beyond, so we're talking about those things now."

I think someone made a deal with a dark god that ended up getting Allen Gregory cancelled but it ended up backfiring and also extending Glee's life.

It has a different target audience so of course use college/young adults aren't going to like it. I feel like it purposely attracts the tween/young teen base now.

I remember watching the first season of this show with my college roommate and squealing over how cute Jesse was and buying the songs and now I am just so ashamed of myself. I stopped watching after season 2 and seeing it decay like this is so sad.

I haven't watched since this season's premiere but I like Criss and his mate from his former school. Can't stand much of anyone else.
