CHRIS Brown wants to join Rihanna on stage at the Grammy awards four years after he viciously assaulted her on the evening of the event.
The 23-year-old Don't Judge Me singer is reportedly eager to appear at the event on February 10th alongside the Bajan beauty after they reconciled their relationship over recent months.
Rihanna, 24, is scheduled to perform next month and is currently appearing in a teaser advert for the show.
According to US gossip site Radar Online Chris thinks that a show of unity from the couple will help people to see that he is "a changed man."
A source told them: "Chris wants to perform with Rihanna at the Grammys to show the whole world they are back together.
"Chris doesn't care what the haters say, and wants to give the viewers an over the top performance with Rihanna."
They added: "He wants the fans to know this is the real deal, and he is a changed man.
"If Rihanna can forgive him, the rest of the world should move on from what happened four years ago."
However the event organisers aren't as keen and are concerned the duet could cause a backlash from fans and viewers.
An insider told Radar: "It's an extremely delicate situation and there is concern about the backlash the performance could receive. But it could also be ratings gold."
Chris assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna in his car after a pre-Grammy Awards party in 2009.
He was Chris arrested and charged for the attack - and later sentenced to six months of community service and placed on probation for five years.
Chris is still on probation for the attack however the couple have been seen enjoying a number of dates since late last year, spent Christmas day at a basketball game and even saw in 2013 together
They have also duetted on TWO tracks together in recent months Birthday Cake and Nobody's Business of Rihanna's latest album Unapologetic.
In a 30-second promotional clip for this year's awards Rihanna is seen heading from her dressing room to the stage as she talks about proving critics wrong.
She says: "When a door closes, you have two choice: give up, or keep going. Let them shut you down, or prove them wrong. We all start somewhere, it's where you end up that counts."

this logic is so stupid. it's not that people are stuck up on anything, it's that they've seen a celeb's personality and they don't like it so they're not interested in him or his output.
she can forgive him I don't care, that doesn't mean I will stop thinking he is a douche bag.
Also, don't tell me wtf to do.
All I hope is that for her sake, things have changed positively and they've worked on their issues.
