HBO confirms Game Of Thrones season 3 writers and directors



Between now and its US premiere on the 31st of March, followed by the UK airing on the 1st of April, Game Of Thrones fans are being drip-fed information about the new episodes on an almost daily basis by HBO, the latest of which is confirmation of exactly who has written and directed what for the new run.

that's awful :( i thought he was a PERFECT ilyn payne and they'll inevitably have to recast the character, so i hope they don't pull a gregor clegane and get someone who doesn't really fit the quiet menacing look that wilko had

i just want to say that i finished storm of swords recently and omg i'm SO glad i've caught up

i cannot WAIT to see the big Cat moment omg cannot fucking wait

i'm sure it will be the season finale since it will be like halfish way through the book and they're splitting it in two

i cannot wait to see the series of craziness at the end with joff and tyrion and tywin and shae though i guess that will be season 4

Basically I really, really don't like GRRM writing but I (for the most part) like the story. The show cuts out a lot of the filler of the books that drives me crazy (like the pages of food descriptions and the background of every goddamn character).

well they can't fuck up the RW more than they fucked up the house of undying so i'm cautiously optimistic

though idk HOW the fuck they're going to amend what they've deleted from the house of the undying. way to ruin the only good thing dany's ever done bar killing viserys and hack the overlying themes of the series to pieces d&d whilst putting drogo on a pedestal. again.

ikr and having her go to the wall was so obvious.. they should have stuck with ~a blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness~ and it could have sparked a lot of speculation (and buzz) from non!book readers. the fandom is still talking about r+l=j years later, it would have been good and probably profitable for D&D to build up some suspense like other shows (i.e. lost) have done

that episode was so anticlimactic and D&D gave the shittiest response about how if they did one flashback then the fans would keep bugging them to do more when they oBVIOUSLY don't care and don't listen to what fans want. they could've just had harry lloyd in another chic wig to play rhaegar and it would be a done deal

I am becoming so cynical about this whole fucking franchise. Reading Arianne's new chapter from tWoW was the tipping point. I just don't care what happens to any of the characters at this point.
