I just in general don't stop for celebrities, I work in the business and whenever I see actors meeting people is always awkward.
I would totally stop an author or a director though.
I am lucky enough to meet a lot of interesting people through my job and I have the possibility to talk to them in a more balanced setting where I'm not a fan stopping them on the streets, I'm a coworker having a conversation, it makes it a lot less awkward for me since I'm terrible at social interactions.
