Damn that's harsh. I have a personal trainer, but I can only afford him twice or three times a month. So he does a fitness plan for me to do in the meantime (which I try to ignore)
It is really helpful if you can afford just a couple of sessions
i want to do that so bad! are they grumpy about that? i've only ever had free PT and they were with trainers i hated. first i need to get back into basic shape. (ugh gym hiatus)
psh, how rude of your bro. That's what they're for!
Or you get what I mean lol. Benefiting the fam is just what you do! You work at a movie theater, free movies, you're accountant, help out on taxes, etc etc
I think a lot of of gyms have programs where you can see a trainer once a month and s/he'll set you up with a fitness program and then check in on you the next month. I guess the expense varies, but I know a few people who have limited income who can afford it.
I've been trying to run regularly and my stamina has been great but my knee is acting up. And last night I did something to a muscle in my thigh and I've been limping all day. Fail.
Omg are you me? I woke up and was like 'I think I'll go jog in the park today' (mind you, haven't done that since like middle school) and it was tortuous. I got set to leave thinking I'd done a half hour but it was only 10 minutes DDD:
lately, i haven't been able to feel sore :( like i dont have that next day soreness. i need to switch it up or go up on the weights but its annoying to do that kind of stuff without men staring at you, which i fucking loathe fucking perverts uuugh i'd workout at home but no space and no weights
I do ballet beautiful which is basically just really concentrated pilates tbqh. Like even some of the moves are the same. You should try pilates because some of the leg and arm exercises really hurt the next day and you need very little space and no equipment.
I am supposed to go to Bikram today but I just got home from work and I'm too tired
I do hot yoga 1-2x a week play tennis throughout the week go to krav maga class 1x a week and run with my friend 2-3 times a week do a 5k every month signed up for a half marathon in april*
I go to an all women fitness center and it is the best switch I ever made. Everyone goes out of their way to support you and make sure you're involved and meeting goals.
Right now I'm in a 31 day fitness challenge. I have a list of twentyfive things I have to accomplish at the end of each week and I get 6 free classes I can choose from: yoga, pilates, spin, zumba, ballet, boot camp, and belly dancing.
Today I had my first yoga class ever! It was amazing and I loved it. It felt especially good that the instructor was shocked to hear that I'd never done it before. She said several of my forms were spot on!
ugh i hate those gymbro douches. really, its not that staring that bothers as much as them asking me if they can use the machine im about to use before me since their ~workout is so much more important than mine.
I have an elliptical at home.. which I use sometimes. I go to the gym because there's more motivation if I'm paying for it. I use.. the elliptical. /fail
I need to do weight training but I want to lose the 10 lbs I gained first.
But I have really been slacking on my workouts since I was sick for most of November, and again for Christmas, and I also got fired in there so I was super non-motivated/depressed for a while.
I'm just kind of getting back to the hardcore stuff I usually do. The swimming is helping.
