So proud of Kathryn Bigelow. Even if she doesn't win this is a huge achievement, being the first woman to be nominated twice!!! Also, props to Ang Lee, the first poc to win an oscar for best direction, getting his 4th DGA nomination. Crossing my fingers for him as well.

What contests?

I mean for Golden Globe, Oscars etc. I guess I should have said 'awards' my mistake :D
ms_mmelissa 8th-Jan-2013 07:14 pm (UTC)
It was eligible, but it wasn't nominated. The only things left to announce are BAFTA and Oscars and it's going to get ignored for those too.

Yeah, sorry I meant for direction/picture. It still has a good shot at techs.

Well it could be nominated for BAFTA since he has the home country thing but for oscars i'm also hopeless. maybe only for soundtrack

Anna Karenina is flawless indeed! After watching it, I can't believe it didn't get anything anywhere :(

IKR !? :( It's only nominated for the soundtrack and it's also flawless~ The concept, costumes... He really knows how to shoot a period drama.
