Watch Bill Cosby on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon!

Now that he's older, Bill talks to Jimmy about connecting with younger generations and uses The Roots to demonstrate.

so_chic_doll 6th-Jan-2013 02:35 am (UTC)
Bill talks about how people over 50 don't understand what kids sing/speak/rap about these days.

Jimmy & Bill get stuck in a Tuba.

Bill "translates" what The Roots are singing.

lol it's really worth watching

when my nephew was little, he used to have a stutter -- not so much that he'd rapidly repeat consonants but that he stumbled over his words a lot and i'd be very polite and patient because, duh, he was a child. but GOD I JUST WANTED HIM TO GET TO THE POINT. and he sounded exactly like bill. so i felt your pain trying to get through these videos.

I just miss the Cosby Show and I wish there was something as clever, funny, with a powerful black woman like the flawfree Clair Huxtable was on TV again.
brucelynn 6th-Jan-2013 02:33 am (UTC)
Hollywood is to threatened by that idea tbh

guess we gotta stick with Tyler Perry's cardboard tv shows
hahahey 6th-Jan-2013 02:36 am (UTC)
it makes me so angry. I never realized how far ahead of its time the Cosby Show was until I looked at the way other TV shows portray black women. It's sad that something from the 90s is more on point than the mess we have now.

PREACH. Nothing will EVER be as good as the cosby show and clair huxtable.

I was just telling my mother how there's not enough equal representation in media for POC, and she's like "Why do you care so much? Why does it matter?"

She then 'clarified' with "It would be nice, but I don't need media to tell me I'm a worthwile person." and I'm like "Yeah, but it wouldn't hurt for children - and even adults - to see people like them doing extraordinary things. If race doesn't matter, why not include everybody?"

Sorry for blowing up your comment like thatt

I watch 4 episodes of the TCS every day - two on Centric, and two on TVLand. I love it so much and can quote every episode. I also have every single season on DVD. LOL. I am obsessed.

I would love if Bill teamed up with Debbie Allen again (Phylicia Rashad/Claire Huxtable's sister) to create something as epic as A Different World again.

Lmao like "they" will ever let that happen
yurasama_love 6th-Jan-2013 08:11 am (UTC)
Clair Huxtable was a goddess.

And I liked how there was a Black male character that was an active father and husband and not a buffoon.

jennomac 6th-Jan-2013 03:12 am (UTC)
I remember watching this stand up special with my family. My mom was partial to the baby's first poop joke but this chocolate cake story is still my favorite to this day. i still use his rationalization when i eat something terrible for breakfast. "well it has eggs, milk and flour, so..."
eulalia_vox 6th-Jan-2013 04:28 am (UTC)
