I saw Promised Land yesterday and I liked it. I have read a lot of the reviews and I get it not getting oscar buzz but people panning it is just wrong. It reminded me a lot of a Capra film. I didnt think it was preachy at all, I mean you have to explain fracking for people who dont know anything about it, but I didnt think the movie crammed it down your throat. Matt and Frances were so great together I would have paid just to watch them talk in a car for 2 hours.
I love Matt Damon, but I wish he would do less political movies and do some more mainstream stuff.
I watched Life of Pi two days ago. It was pretty but boring. I know that whole left at sea thing was the main plot in the movie but I wished it had moved quicker.
theyre the same. screeners are sent to award voters and press people so they dont have to go to the theater. tho the quality isnt as great as a dvd or blu-ray rip.
I watched ER until 4 in the morning - I'd forgotten how good it was. Noah Wyle was my first crush <333
I had ordered some dresses from Mango and ASOS: the Mango ones were even nicer than they looked on the website but one of the ASOS dresses was too big and the other was just boring and ugly in real life. At least I get £75 back.
im doing one with 250 films (including foreign films,pre-codes&silent films) which im excited for, i already have 3 down and im gonna watch The Intouchables for my foreign film tonight.
I tried the 365 day film challenge last year and failed lol. But I'm doing it this year now too and am way ahead of schedule and for my own personal goal am trying to expand on the types of films I watch. (more classics/foreign films)
i'm tempted to watch the leaked version of django, even though i promised a friend to watch it with him. i don't have the willpower to wait another 2 weeks, since it's only being released then in my country

zero dark thirty is a masterpiece.
the impossible is a horrible film.
hitchcock is pretty good though drags along in the middle.
and i just finished the sessions and it made me really sad for some reason. hawkes and hunt were so good.

It wasn't bad, just didn't meet my expectations. I hated The Hurt Locker, but was excited for the cast. Ahh well.

I tried the 365 last yr (didn't complete it, haha) but it's just nice to have a little chart going.
