Sarah Michelle Gellar Returning to Television....Again?
Sarah Michelle Gellar may be back on the small screen next fall as the star of a new half-hour comedy, TVLine has learned exclusively.
The potential (and currently untitled) series, which is being developed at 20th Century Fox TV (home of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), chronicles the hijinks parents get into while their kids are at home.
Gellar would play the wife/mother.
The actress — who attempted a TV comeback last year with The CW’s now-cancelled Ringer — became interested in the project after reading the Shepard Boucher-penned spec script. (Boucher’s credits include serving as a staff writer on the TBS comedy Men at Work.)
The project will be shopped to the major networks in the coming weeks.
UPDATE~
David Hemingson (Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23) and Margaret Riley (Love and Other Drugs) are attached as EPs.

I'll take SMG any day of the week.
So sorry mods! You know how it goes :P

What I love about it though is that aside from some dodgy FX and the clothes, it doesn't age.
the day only has so many hours unfortunately
I think I might start earlier this year lmao
She did fantastic playing two different characters and separating them. By the end of the series you where able to distinctly tell which one was which by their speech/look.
The show was just terribly written.
Still mad I never got my twin showdown though
I need her in a drama. A big, emotional, weepy drama. I love Buffy tears. They are my favorite of all tears. I start welling up the second she does. SMG belongs on TV drama!

I'm going to buy bobby pins in BULK just to spite them!
I need SMG on my tv again
god that makes me feel so old.
I always felt like I was the only one watching Ringer, lol. I loved it! It was so soapy and ridiculous but still so much fun to watch. (Plus, Ioan Gruffodd.)
YESSSS, plus Nestor Carbonell.
(and YES to the Ioan Gruffudd love too)
