Justin Bieber Tweets 'I'm Trying To Be Better' Amid Marijuana Controversy



Justin Bieber is responding - sort of - to new photos that have hit the Internet of him smoking what appears to be marijuana with a group of friends.

"everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up," Biebs tweeted just hours after the pictures went public.

"i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u #beliebers.

"like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...Im ready. We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that," he wrote.

It's been a bad week for the pop star. Tuesday night, photographer Chris Guerra was killed as he was trying to take photos of someone he assumed was Bieber driving the singer's Ferrari. He was especially anxious to get the shot, several sources said after the tragedy, because he was after a picture of Justin smoking pot.

Justin and Selena Gomez also broke up again this week, this time seemingly for good.

I was enjoying the hell out of the Bieber tag on tumblr last night.

Between the devastation and tears, the kids who want to light up with him and the conspiracy theorists it was a beautiful mess.

I did kinda feel bad for Justin's "lookalike" (and friend I guess) who was getting a lot of blame from many who cried mistaken identity.

Nah, he sells himself as a certain way to tweens and they just got proof he's not. I don't think pot is a big deal at all but he's apologizing for his own image to his fans. Its fake.

i can't imagine her ever apologizing for something like that, either, which makes her 100% more likable than this kid. i understand that he "has to" pander to his fanbase but it's not like tweens don't also like rihanna.

but rihanna has based her whole image on this good girl gone bad schtick. she tries to be edgy and ~cool~, and her music is way more widespread to people who aren't teens. the majority of beibs fanbase is children. he's changing that now (i love his CD and hate myself for it LOLLL why?) with all his singles but he is still a kid star with a kid fanbase
