imo, moms have this thing with failing to admit their kids are addicts. my uncle had a freaking METH LAB he was running in his garage and my mom and aunt tried to tell my gma about it and she stopped speaking to them for months because they were ~slandering her bb~
then he got arrested + sent to jail
