this isn't shocking at all and that's the sad part. it's obvious she had a drug problem and it sucks that MTV doesn't seem to be helping, either.
and sort of OT: i have a sister who is 40 years old, and a total fuck up with her life. neither her nor her husband work(they have two kids) and all the money they get from unemployment just goes "missing" and my mother will be like "oh they spend it all on cigarettes" and i've told her for years that they do drugs but she doesn't believe me.
then my sister went for a job interview and took a drug test, which came back "inconclusive" or so she says, and she's telling my mother that it's because she's drinking so much green tea that it made her urine clear and that's why they couldn't get anything out of the test O_o and my mother still believes her.
