Disney Interactive and Junction Point Studios released Epic Mickey in 2010, but years before the Wii game came out Buena Vista Games was experimenting with different ideas for a Mickey Mouse focused action game. One of the concepts revealed by a former BVG artist was Spy Mickey.
Disney was also kicking around an idea of making a fighting game where different action figures fight each other a la Super Smash Bros.
