As always, the previous three rounds can be found here. Animation looks like it's going to be an interesting race this year. Who are your favorites to win the big categories this year? Surprised at any pushes for nominations? Surprised at anything left out (there hasn't been a lot for just sound, visual effects and editing yet but I'm guessing when those start to surface Avengers will pop up)? Favorite performances of the year? Discuss.

i know people really liked amour, but the intouchables, in terms of great french cinema, was far more superior (and not as bleak), in my opinion

or i just needed a reason to rave about it lmao

i was planning on watching amour. im choosing between that and killing them softly.

im glad you liked the intouchables too i really liked it a lot. i dragged a couple of my friends (they really only watch hollywood blockbusters) and they really enjoyed it too. im glad.

i loved both of those films and i agree with you in a way because amour is not a movie i would ever watch again. once was traumatic and depressing enough tbh. on the other hand, i can’t wait to watch les intouchables again
