Ke$ha talks bi-sexuality & bullying in Seventeen's February 2013 issue

Kesha showed her softer side with some super cute kittens in the February issue of Seventeen, where she also had wise words for her animals — and revealed a pretty juicy secret about herself.

Rocking several different, diverse rock n’ roll, bohemian, flowery and just generally pretty looks, Kesha still looked like herself, which has always been super important to her… even when people don’t like what she’s doing. She admits in a behind-the-scenes video that she’s landed on worst dressed lists but that it doesn’t bug her, because it shows she’s doing her own thing.

“I used [negative comments] to motivate me then, and I still do,” she told the mag. “I remember every person who told me I couldn’t do something or that I was ugly or too fat. I have a ‘s— list’ — people from my past who have been soulless and judgmental. Even after I got through my awkward phase, got my braces off and figured out how to dress my body, people in the music business were like, ‘You’re never going to make it.’ I see them now and I’m like, ‘Ha!’ That’s one of the reasons I named my record ‘Warrior,’” she added. “You can be a victim and let that eat your soul, or you can say, You’re going on my list and I’m going to prove you wrong!”

First off, Kesha? Ugly? Fat? Are these people blind? She’s so cute! Still, she takes it in stride when people talk smack. “I’m very much into making fun of myself because other people do it so you have to be able to laugh at yourself,” she said. “The sooner you can laugh at yourself, the easier your life will be.”

That doesn’t mean she’s okay with outright bullying. In fact, she’s adamantly against it. “I’m all about standing up to gay/lesbian/transgender bullying, but it’s also about my little brother,” she said. “He’s 13 and he gets made fun of because he has a stutter. I just have zero tolerance for people making fun of others.”

Another reason K-Dollar Sign may be so against bullying of the LGBTQ community is because not only do they support her, but she identifies with them. She revealed, “I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about a gender. It’s just about the spirit that exudes from that other person you’re with.”

even though I'm 26 I still pick up seventeen every so often (when I can afford it). I like their fitness section and some of the stories. I've never read it for any celeb.

I also read a local teen girl magazine. Women's magazines are kind of boring because they seem so sterile. It's all fashion fashion, fashion, some hairstyles you'll never be able to do yourself, more fashion and an interview with some flop. Not to mention that magazines towards teen girls always give you advice on how to do stuff yourself (facial masks, etc.) Women's magazines just list some expensive products. IDK, maybe I'm just reading them wrong, but they're really not my thing.

However, I kind of wish there was a lesbian version of those teen girls magazines. I'd be all over it. No more talks of "finding your dream boy", JB posters, etc. I tried reading the Diva magazine, but I just feel too disconnected... it's mostly about life style, and my life style is sitting in front of my PC drinking tea. I just want to do fun quizzes like "how will you meet your dream girl", etc.

IA, some of their reports and their fitness stuff is pretty good. it's just the 'how to txt ur bf' stuff and celeb interviews that are usually shit.

When I was young I couldn't wait until I was 17 to read that magazine. Then I turned 17 and realized I was too old for it.

why pay for that when you can get the same fitness tips for free online.
