MISIA Makes TV Debut Live From 'Dune 40' In Namib Desert

Japanese diva MISIA (34) rang in the new year by making her first ever national TV appearance on NHK's year-end extravaganza Kouhaku Utagassen.

Battling through strong winds and blistering heat (Sanspo reports it was 50°C but that sounds a little exaggerated), the songstress performed two songs, "Everything" and "Ashita e", via satellite from Dune 40 in the Namib Desert in Namibia, Africa.

The Namib Desert, reportedly the oldest desert in the world, at an estimated 80 million years, is known for both its impressive beauty and harsh climate.

She slayed ♥ NHK also slayed with their fantastic noise-cancelling skills, you can barely hear the wind.
