I agree. It is a slender volume and all the filmmakers out there at present are turning absolutely everything into a trilogy (sometimes a, er, quadogy) whether the material warrants it or not. There is such a thing as *needing* a good edit and being forced to fit a story into a certain period of time (or word count) sets useful boundaries that enable a more crafted creativity IMO.
