Kathy Griffin Kisses Anderson Cooper's Crotch On National Television



No matter what vulgar things Kathy Griffin does on CNN's live New Year's Eve broadcasts, the folks at the supposedly most trusted name in news continue to invite her back.

On Monday night's program, after first telling co-host Anderson Cooper "I'm going to tickle your sack," she shortly after midnight actually kissed his crotch (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Roughly eleven minutes into the program which began at 10 PM, Cooper commented about how on Twitter folks were suggesting that there should be a game that whenever he giggles nervously during the show, contestants have to take a drink.

Then, completely out of the blue, Griffin said, “I'm going to tickle your sack. You can say sack. That's not bad.”

An obviously nervous Cooper responded, “I don't know what you're talking about. I have no sack of gifts here.”

I was actually really uncomfortable watching it. It seemed pretty clear to me that Anderson was not quite comfortable with her shenanigans but was trying to play it off. Ugh. I don't see what makes it funny and okay all the sudden because he's a guy.

I can't tell if the uncomfortableness and giggles is because he's the kind of person who wants to be more uninhibited and friendship with Kathy allows him to have that out or if he thinks that trying to set boundaries with her would both be futile and would make him feel uncool.

I think he's a lot more like her when cameras aren't rolling. Kathy even said something like that last night, like "You should see how this guy acts when its just the two of us!". She's also probably toned down when cameras aren't rolling, so they pretty much even eachother out I bet

ITA. It was awkward to watch, and he looked super uncomfortable at times. However, she lives to embarrass, and hopefully if he felt she went to far, he'd have a sit down with her.
