Kathy Griffin Kisses Anderson Cooper's Crotch On National Television



No matter what vulgar things Kathy Griffin does on CNN's live New Year's Eve broadcasts, the folks at the supposedly most trusted name in news continue to invite her back.

On Monday night's program, after first telling co-host Anderson Cooper "I'm going to tickle your sack," she shortly after midnight actually kissed his crotch (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Roughly eleven minutes into the program which began at 10 PM, Cooper commented about how on Twitter folks were suggesting that there should be a game that whenever he giggles nervously during the show, contestants have to take a drink.

Then, completely out of the blue, Griffin said, “I'm going to tickle your sack. You can say sack. That's not bad.”

An obviously nervous Cooper responded, “I don't know what you're talking about. I have no sack of gifts here.”

Super late, I agree with you.

Yes, they are friends and she's always doing shit to embarrass him because that's how they are. Yet, he was visibly uncomfortable and the whole thing was just awkward to watch.

I love them, but Kathy was went way too far to be "edgy" in this case.

Oh lawwwd are people really trying to make a big deal about this? They're crazy good friends. She's sent him naked photos of herself while staying in his house with his partner. Their relationship isn't my cup of tea, but if it works for them, who cares? I swear ONTD stays on their high horse at all times.

Oh no I totally agree with you. ONTD faux-feminists would be all over it if that were the case. I just don't think that in this particular instance we should be crying misandry or applying "if the roles were reversed" logic. It's just too specific of situation in that Anderson and Kathy's relationship is already really intimate and relaxed.

But they don't always, just because we don't like it, or we would never allow that in our own relationships. They are good friends, have been for years, and some friends do inappropriate, crazy shit to each other all the time.

I simply think, knowing what can seen of their relationship, Anderson did not feel violated by Kathy. He's agreed to this job for about 3 years? At this point, if he didn't know how much of an attention whore Kathy is, I don't know how he can be a reporter, being so unobservant.

I get people not liking, or her, but conflating her actions to convinced sexual harassment on prime TV is bit much, imo.

If he thought she did - I'm sure he would have ended their friendship years ago as she's done far more inappropriate things to him. He's clearly okay with it, end of story. If you do something to someone, and they aren't then you guys would have reason to bitch and be offended, but clearly he isn't.
